Shard Meeting Yields Results!
The citizens of Chesapeake held court with Elder EM Dudley and Mesanna this past Thursday's eve inside the big blaze tent in the Sosarian Solstice Fairgrounds. The lengthy meeting was held to give citizens a chance to voice their various concerns with the current state of events within the realm. The more then three hour meeting was gracefully moderated by the EM team as they fielded every question the crowd could muster ensuring all had the chance for thier voices to be heard! Dozens of citizens came forward to speak on many topics including how shard events were run, how rewards were given ot in relation to other shards, the current "livery quest", and even answered queries of favoritism amongst the shard em's and certain player bases. I think we can state that all topics were covered in length!
Being in better communication was a grand theme among the nights inquiries as players expressed the need for deeper communication during events and different story arcs as they progress to help not only those who have been in attendance all along but those who join in late as well.
There was talk of items, a source of great long winded debate during the night as well as players spoke of thier desires intentions and hopes for the program in the new year in regards to frequency and quality of drops. Players from both sides of the fence spoke as those who sought loot and riches as well as those who enjoyed the events for thier storyline nature gave well thought out input throughout the topics span of discussion. Some more feverish spectators spoke of favoritism and such as both Mesanna and Dudley assured the crowd no such would ever become a part of the show here on Chesapeake. Shows of support from those in attendance for the hard work that has been put into our shard thus far came throughout the night
One of the more direct results of the nights meeting was covered during the discussion of the more recent livery quests attempted by the various player run entities around the realm. With the most recent round of activities in the chain of events some felt frustration over Helga's decision to exlcude them from passing the nights event. Dudley carefully listened to each speaker and thier concerns and in the end the shard was pleasantly surprised this evening to see that all the participating groups had received thier livery designation of a station in thier respective towns! A grand surpise!
Also noted were several hours spent by Dudley and Mesanna herself visiting player run towns fixing odd and ends that had built up over recent times with regards to town banners and teleports linking to the Luna Hub as well as the addition of Imperium Flags added to banners belonging to the shards sinister brood.....
All in all I'd say the meeting did well for everyone as with any luck we feel heard and the concerns on the realm are well in hand and in capble hands with our EM Team. Thanks to Dudley and Mesanna for hearing us out, the good, bad, ugly, and indifferent. We all look forward to what the new year brings to us here on Chespeake!
