On Saturday night, citizens who had found the location of Mowdly's Ghost gathered together in Castle Britain's Throne Room. Beh-lem greeted the gathered citizens and thanks them for delivering reports of their findings to the Thiefmaster.
Beh-lem then confirmed that the moon phase was right and that the pirate crew who bore Mowdly's curse should be mortal. They had been seen sailing away from Davy Jones' Locker (the small dock in the center of Moonglow, Vesper, Nujel'm and Ice Island). Crews sailed in search of the elusive pirate crew, who were finally caught northwest of Davy Jones' Locker.
The pirate crew were indeed cursed! Skin white as ghosts and sunken eyes, they launched assault on any citizens who drew near. And none of these pirate crew were going down without a fight! This proved a difficult battle, as the ghostly crew seemed capable of regenerating health and it was up to the citizens to inflict damage faster than the crew could recover.
Once again, the crews summoned clones of nearby citizens. It's eerie, you know, watching yourself die over and over again at the hands of friends and neighbors. Hmmm....
Mirrored warriors, medusas, and ghostly crew all fell... eventually. When the last fell, the ship the ghostly crew sailed on suddenly exploded and sank to the bottom of the sea! Unfortunate adventurers unlucky enough to have been on the ship when it sank awoke on the shores of Britain, lucky to be alive.
Back at Mowdly's Ghost, Beh-lem congratulated the adventurers on their fine work... but congratulations were interrupted by the arrival of the Ghost Captain himself, Benito De Soto!
A valiant fight ensued, and the Ghost Captain received his final release. Upon his death, Beh-lem informed Mowdly that the task had been completed and the curse lifted.
Bloody Mary found the second map fragment and handed it to Beh-lem.
The second piece! I shall place this together with the first. We are growing ever closer to finding out the location of the scroll.
I will study this and we shall meet again on Friday. Perhaps then the thiefmaster will have clues as to the third piece.
I thank you all for your diligence tonight.
Stay diligent, citizens, and return Friday to see what news the Thiefmaster brings....
