Salem (DWxC) Wins Angling Tourney!
Last eve's fishing tournament sponsored by the Fishermans Guild of Trisnic was a grand success as nine competitors set out on the high seas in search of the big one! Fishing lasted from roughly 7pm to midnight with much excitement along the way. Ship Captains recorded an overall weight caught of over two thousand stones with the nights top two catches hauled in by the same lucky sailor! A whopping bohemoth of 197 stones took the nights top honors along with 147 stones in second both caught by Dragon's Watch's own Salem. Finishing in third also of Dragon's Watch was Sushi with a fine catch of 144 stones! Congratulations to our angling champion who has had a commemorative plaque bearing his name and catch along with the monster itself displayed for all to see outside the cities fishers guild!
Arriving sometime after the tourney began I was able to speak with Santiago the nights host as he made rounds visiting ships at sea. Tales of big ones that got away were aplenty as I eventually made it onboard with two competitors! Graciously offering free footwear was Lord Gareth whom I was able to sail with as he caught what could of been the nights lightest catch at 17 stones!
Reports began to arrive from other ships that foul creatures from the abyss had attacked. Diabolical Seaweed had risen from the depths to engage several vessels. If that wasnt strange enough, some where even the target of an evil ghost crew of pirates attempting to board several ships! Hopefully those on board can share any pics in this articles discussion!
The nights fishing was fast and furious throughout the event with many great trophies pulled from the sea. My ride was so much in a hurry he almost left me behind!
Competitors gathered inside the fishers guild to discuss the night's adventure and offer congratulations after the event.
And of course with any great night of community events nothing beats a cold ale amongst friends as EM Dudley welcomed everyone back to the Counselor's Hall in West Brit for a bit of celebration thereafter! Another fine event by our new lead EM in Dudley as we all gave thanks for his valient efforts! Join us all for the next EM sponsored event this weekend with information on this and future events found here: http://www.chessy-events.com/
