We have a special guest writer who submited the following news story. It is about a role playing event that took place last Night in Umbra.

Salutations members of Sosaria society,
My name is Reginald VonSmot and I have decided to bring some culture to this so called publication called Stratics. For the longest time I have felt that those readers of high quality and standing have been lacking a proper spokesman. Now you have one.

Last night the Full Moon Ball took place in Umbra and all were welcome to attend. A red carpet led from the moongate to the area where the ball took place so that everyone could make a grand entrance for all to see. Most of the guests were dressed in formal wear and looked stunning as they made their entrances. The Necromantic Amphitheatre was decorated for the occasion and set the proper mood for the evening.

Callista made the boldest fashion statement of the ladies in attendance, but Abigail Cross looked the best in basic black.

Siegfried Valkyr was striking in his black outfit that brought out his hair and beard.
The ball was much more reserved than the celebrations that the normal masses enjoy, with polite society conversation and those in attendance not imbibing in excessive amounts of alcohol. The host Pandora provided a plethora of beverages including Aegis Brandy, Olympus Rum, and various other selections, along with the finest choices in cuisine for the guests.

Pandora and her husband Marius were the first two to start the formal dancing to encourage others to come out and take part. Most of the guests remained in small groups doing small talk or discussing subjects of importance to them.

What would a social event story be without some good gossip over heard at the party? For you music lovers watch for a special announcement by Samara from Olympus next week. For those romantics out there I have some more news about Samara. Samara and Zander are to be wed with Callista being Samara’s maid of honor.

Till next time this is your roving Critic and society reporter wishing all of you a fine day.

Ways of seeing if UP did not get their invitation (Note, this is all in fun and we were terribly busy and wish we weren't. CoD events are usually fun.

1. Everyone is out of armor.
2. There's liquor left over after the night ends
3. There's liquor left over after the first fifteen minutes of the party.
4. There are no dead bodies.
5. Nobody singing badly.
6. Insults heard don't involve the words "bilgerat" or "scurvy"
