Lord Casca, The Warrior Guild Hall, and Sherry the Mouse Part II
(cont’d from part I)
I made my way to the Warrior Guild Hall on the west end of Britain over the bridge to find many waiting there already with time to spare. I explained to them that Lord Casca was speaking openly with the community and a chance may not happen again for those that wanted to hear for themselves. Our numbers dwindled because of this but our spirits were high in discussing what his reign might mean for us citizens.
A little *squeek* by the stairs alerted us to a visitor for those remaining……
Sherry the Mouse greeted us cheerfully as she entered the room and seemed in high spirits despite the watchful eyes looking for her. Once again her words of wisdom regarding our new King resonated with the few of us there. I asked Sherry the Mouse of an idea I have to gather the community and choose within it a non political counsel to approach Lord Casca with citizen concerns. She thought this to be a good idea and one I will lend more thought to and bring up at future meetings.
She is not trusting of the Counsel of Mages, for obvious reasons and spoke well of Lady Aileen who she hopes is still well. Most likely Lady Aileen would assist Sherry in any way possible. During our discussion, Nathan Windfall returned from having talked to Lord Casca with a report much the same as I had found in our conversation earlier that day. “He believes he can find a way to try and get the Shadowlords to retreat.”
Therefore we will announce another strategy meeting for all that would like to attend in the lands of Ilshenar. This is done to prevent the eavesdropping we were made aware of and if there are spies among us, well perhaps the skills of the fairies may help us decipher this. I made my way to the Twin Oaks Tavern in Spirituality, Ilshenar and was assured that Zut and Rael will do all they can to accommodate us and for those traveling a distance the Inn above provides a nice slumber. Date and time for the next meeting is to be announced and hopefully word will spread. Let us hope we can gather again as we did in times past and as a community stand together for or against what we deem necessary for our lands.
