Accompanied by my associate Andrasta, we made our way to the Event Moderator Reward Hall following the request by Dawn to see the heros that had not received one of the new cloaks. We viewed the new grounds, and after a short time spent conversing, we heard a strange sound downstairs. Descending, we found EM Eris chin deep in solid marble, a perked brow and Andrasta's "Hmm" were quickly followed by an enthusiastic greeting from Eris, the following is a transmission made on communication crystal, in it's unabridged and full form, including notation on movement and inflection.
Nh'bdy : Why Hello there
EM Eris : Hello!
Nh'bdy : By the all father's beard! It's a tremor!
Andrasta : We can stand on the white tiles.
Nh'bdy : Quick! Get me Kevin Bacon!
EM Eris smiles at this comment
Andrasta : I didn't like that movie
Nh'bdy : What? Really?
Andrasta smiles
Andrasta : Too scary
Andrasta laughs
Nh'bdy : Ooh, well as long as it wasn't the esteemed career of Mister Bacon.
Nh'bdy : Silliness aside, how are you today EM Eris?
EM Eris : Great!
EM Eris : Hello Lady Andrasta
Andrasta : Nice to meet you.
EM Eris : Lord Nh'bdy
EM Eris : Aye
Nh'bdy : Any location you'd prefer?
EM Eris : This should be fine
Andrasta : But you're in the floor tiles
Andrasta : Unless it's my eyes
EM Eris : Maybe the park would be nicer
After a short relocation the gathered assume their positions
Nh'bdy : Shall we then?
EM Eris : Aye
Nh'bdy : A very nice display you've crafted here.
Andrasta : I love the house cat.
EM Eris : It was here long before I
EM Eris smiled
Nh'bdy : Hrm, where to begin?
Nh'bdy : I suppose first and foremost, what brought you to the EM program?
EM Eris : Being an EM is a great opportunity to be creative and to give fun events to the UO Community!
Nh'bdy : Well you've certainly showing a willingness for such so far, in fact, we've been introduced to a new story character
Nh'bdy : Can you tell us anything about "Xitara"?
EM Eris : Xitara is a procurer and broker of information who works on behalf of it's Masters.
EM Eris : From time to time Xitara will seek out specific information and may be, in a way, a herald of things to come.
Nh'bdy : An enlightening survey of a somewhat quizzical character. Any clues as to who her Masters may be?
EM Eris : Not as of yet, but more may be revealed in time.
EM Eris : Other entities may have an interest in Xitara's activities, and the information it's after.
Nh'bdy : You mentioned Xitara may be a broker, this speaks of plenty of interaction?
EM Eris : Definitely.
Nh'bdy : Speaking of interactions, how have yours been in your time on Atlantic?
EM Eris : So far, I have been very impressed with the folk of Atlantic.
EM Eris : Atlantic is one of the most populated and historic shards, home to many great guilds.
EM Eris : Many great players.
EM Eris : I am looking forward to getting to know everyone here.
Nh'bdy : In regards to history, although rather recent, do you plan to continue the arcs of the previous EMs?
EM Eris : Yes, I love not only the EM history, but Atlantic history as a whole.
Andrasta : Atlantic has a rich history, I am heartened you are interested in it.
EM Eris : I am, Lady Andrasta!
Nh'bdy : Aye, it's good to know someone up top has eyes to the past. That leads us nicely to my next question.
Nh'bdy : Do you have any favorite lore characters?
EM Eris appears to be in thought for a moment
EM Eris : I liked Minax and Jou'nar the best.
Nh'bdy : Ahh! Good picks! The scorned companion of Mondain...any official statements about her whereabouts?
Nh'bdy : Last I heard she was still alive!
EM Eris : She likely could be.
Nh'bdy : If I may be so bold as to simply ask, what shard of The Gem do you hail from?
EM Eris : Unfortunately I cannot disclose that
Nh'bdy : Ahh, understandable.
Nh'bdy : We've seen a remolded EM Hall, which begs the question, any items or hues you prefer?
Andrasta laughs
EM Eris : Honestly, I don't like many rehued things and favor natural or metal hues.
EM Eris : I like things that look like they would in our world.
Nh'bdy : A refreshing opinion.
EM Eris : Personal taste.
Nh'bdy : I know I started on The Verity Isles, what town first felt the footfall of EM Eris?
EM Eris : I too, first set foot in Moonglow in many ages past.
Nh'bdy : Interesting
EM Eris : That was back before there were town guards and I wandered why there were dead bodies everywhere.
EM Eris : And why no one had killed me yet!
The following portion sounds distorted as if corrupted by some equipment failure
Nh'bdy : You seem to be a well versed Britannian, any time frame you can give us?
EM Eris : I recall the days before Town Guards and the Followers of Armageddon.
Nh'bdy : I'm sure you and my associate Cear Dallben can rekindled those days.
The distortion seems to cease
EM Eris : Ahh yes, I was just a youngling in those days.
Nh'bdy : If the lovely Andrasta has anything to add, I believe I have reached the end of my prepared query.
Andrasta smiles
Andrasta : Nothing to add to the interview.
Nh'bdy : Very well
EM Eris : I have some questions.
Nh'bdy : By all means.
EM Eris nods to Nh'bdy and to Andrasta
EM Eris : I would like to get to know Atlantic and players of all play styles would like to see from their EMs.
EM Eris : I want everyone to know they can contact us through the EM Website.
Andrasta : Perhaps a question Nh'bdy can pose at the end of his interview?
EM Eris : We'll listen, read and take to heart any feedback and requests we get. We'd like an open door policy to exist.
Nh'bdy : Then with that, I suppose we've come to the end of this interview, I thank you EM Eris for your time.
The Transmission cuts as a segment of talking about Goodman's Library, and a gate opening can be heard.
