[NEWS]Halloween Party and Archery Contest on October 30th

Greetings,

The pigeons of Rivenmyst are sure busy today. And I am sure glad they only drop notes on me as they fly by. . ..

Hear Ye! Hear Ye!

On October 30th, 2009 there will be an event so big only Rivenmyst Village in the Ter Mur facet on the Lake Austin shard could host it. Well, maybe not that big, but just as much fun!

The Silvermoon Tavern and the (not named yet) house of Alyssa will be hosting two events that will run one after the other.

Silvermoon Tavern will have a Halloween party at 7pm (central time) / 5pm (pacific time)
The (not named yet) house of Alyssa will have an archery contest at 8pm (central time) / 6pm (pacific time)

Directions to Tavern - Take the moongate to the Ter Mur facet, Royal City/Rivenmyst Village moongate. Go south along the road towards the bridge south of the housing area you will see two flag houses follow that little road past them and at the end of it is the Tavern.

Directions to Archery location: Follow the mountains east until you see the house (from the tavern). Or from the Royal City / Rivenmyst Village moongate - take the road east, then turn right on the first road south, then follow straight/down through the intersection until you come to the UnNamed house.

Prize info will be forthcoming.

Scary Story Contest

A Change to the raffle drawing.. This even will have raffle pumpkins rather than books for this event. If more than one person has the same name they will then roll for the prize.. The person who won gives up their pumpkin ticket ( the one that won the item.) Again extra pumpkins will be avalible on the vendor for 10g each to help keep the events rolling.

More events will be listed still organizing

Trammel Pumpkin Run- This event will take place in trammel you can walk gate or recall to the farms. The idea behind this is each pumpkin is worth a certain amount of points . Everyone Has 4 minutes to run Grab as many pumpkins as possible and return to the tavern. ( Would of made this felucca but people may get out of hand =P). The first one back before time expires will be granted an extra 5 points. For those that go over the time 5 points per minute will be deducted. I hope that people will be trust worthy and not cheat.

Archery Contest prizes:
1st Place 350k gold check and "Rivenmyst Village Fall Archery Champion" recognition
2nd Place 150k gold check
3rd Place 100k gold check

All who want to enter can contact myself (Lady Keira) before or on Friday (10/30). I will be hosting the contest at the Tokuno Treasures Museum (see map at the top of this thread). Everyone will shoot in order first, each person will shoot 10 arrows or bolts. The top 5 scores will advance to the 2nd round. Out of those 5 we will determine the winners and crown the Rivenmyst Village Fall Archery Champion!

Bring your favorite Crossbow or Bow and plenty of bolts and arrows. Remember you can recover shot bolts and arrows form the Archery Butte after your turn.

Just a breif reminder of the Halloween party and contests happening today. I hope to see a good turn out to this event... I mean heck its nearly free money =P . :stretcher:
