Beh-Lem once again stood before the gathered crowds who had so faithfully retrieved the fragments of the map.
The map, when assembled, would reveal the location needed to avoid the destruction of the Gargoyle race.
Beh-Lem unfolded the map and began to read the markings within....
The Thief and the book of Prophecy,
Fixed in space and time...
But that the Thief covets, still unknown.
Beware!
Fallen in the wrong hands, Gargoyles will lie broken,
Their lands shattered....
The map revealed the location of a book! An ancient tome of scrolls which could destroy an entire race. The tome needed to be found as quickly as possible!
"I have found the location," Beh-Lem announced, studying the markings. Transcribing the location, he announced that the coordinates appeared to be near 118d 7m S by 10d 7m W... the old Lizardman camp which was currently inhabited by savages, south of Dungeon Destard!
Citizens searched the seemingly empty huts, turning up nothing. Thas was, however, until someone thought to tug one of the rugs on the floor, which covered a trap door to a hidden cavern! This had to be the place!
The tome was not unguarded. Succubi, Lich Lords, and Sphinxes stood in sentinel of the final location.
For a moment, it seemed they could go no further, as a wall of red stone barricaded further passage. Looking closer, the curious discovered that there was a tiny place where you could slip through! On the other side, a hedge maze invited them within.
Suddenly, a ring of flame enveloped those who had gathered, and a shadowfiend descended, sapping life from those nearby and extinguishing those who attempted to enter the maze.
Those who may not have fought a shadowfiend before may have too late discovered that its health replenishes if you stand too near. The best strategy seemed to be to keep a distance and attack from afar!
When the battle was over, the survivors navigated the maze and to the dais on the other side, where a chest contained the ancient tome, the Kodecks Balsil!

Also in the chest, a scepter and a necklace, with ancient markings, were reported to have been found.
Returning to Beh-Lem, there was confusion as it was uncertain where the Kodecks Balsil had ended up. Only a thief's talents allowed the tome to be retrieved, but did a thief have the interests of the Gargoyle race in mind? Would the book be located?
DixieLoneStar of M!S announced that she had found the Kodecks Balsil.
Beh-Lem looked at her, directly.
"I must ask you, do you have good intentions for the gargoyles? The Prophecy tells... that if one with good intentions, one who is at peace with the Gargoyles finds the book, then the devastation of our race is no longer a threat."
"Yes, I have good intentions" Dixie replied, though she seem torn between the idea of saving the gargoyles and selling the tome to the highest bidder....
But it was her heart that won, at least for now. Let us hope that should the tome be sold that it always remains in the possession of one with the intentions of peace....
Thus, was the Prophecy fulfilled.
