News from EM Drosselmeyer Re Easter Event

I received a PM this afternoon while we weren't home from EM Drosselmeyer that says all shards, including Siege, will be receiving the Easter event. (Don't know why I got the PM unless it was because of my usual negative post in UHall earlier today.) According to the PM, someone is working on setting up Siege's event and it should be activated sometime today. I think Queen Zen also heard from the EM on Chesapeake that Siege would be getting an Easter event too, but it would be different from what is set up on Chesapeake.

We just got home from a family dinner and my granddaughter is stopping by soon for a visit, so I haven't had a chance to log in yet. Hopefully if anyone else has been logged in and heard something definite, they'll post in this forum and let everyone know the details. I guess we should all be peeking in the EM Forum too once in a while and/or checking the Brit counselor's hall for clues.

I seen an EM whom shall remain safely nameless, on Chesapeake, besides not sure what the rules are for mentioning or not mentioning their names anyhow I asked the EM there, What about Siege ?

But that was after I had posted in Saint's post/thread on UO Hall, and so I didn't know the EM had sent me a pm after reading my post on UO HALL, so I was told to check my pms and was told that u were sent one too. I didn't know they'd read UO HALL today. hehe

We will get ours, be different than Chesapeake's. Actually it seems every shard as many as there be, each get a bit different set up for this particular eastery event of easter dragon eggs and bonzai or ...whatever different per shard when they get all done with em all.

I did feel bad after I hear "happy easter" from an EM and I never actually met one in some time anywhere in person, and instead of me first sayin happy easter back right off I first I end up shouting WHAT ABOUT SIEGE ? *goes to hide feels bad* couldnt help me self.

Czarina and I are stumped for the night. Here's what we learned/did tonight:

Read the post in the EM forum.

Talked to Edward the Fence in Buc's Den.

Then gave Harold the Easter Bunny in the hedge maze some jelly beans in order to find out you need to talk to a female dragon.

Found Riliana in Destard and learned her eggs were stolen and she wants you to find the thief and her eggs. She says check cracks and crevices.

Found a blue book with a ? on it nearby in Destard. This was our first wild-goose-chase clue.

Found a second blue book with a ? on it by the poison eles in Shame.

Found a third blue book with a ? on it by the nightmare spawn in Covetous.

Here is a screen shot of that last clue. Czarina and I think this is talking about Khaldun and we spent quite a while looking around there both alive and dead until we got booted out to shrines to rez. (After we wasted time in Deceit.) Checked "level 2" in Khaldun and found nothing there. I fear the next clue is in the central room of Khaldun but haven't got a good understanding of how to get in. Tonight was my first ever visit to Khaldun.

We're stuck for now. I don't have decent enough pets yet to handle that amount of spawn and have already lost two good LRC suits and a +10 magery spellbook. Need to recoup a bit before diving back into this chase.

Funny thing too is that while we were running around in Khaldun, I never did actually see any ancient liches. Maybe they're there and we just couldn't find them....

Hopefully if anyone else picks this up they'll be good enough to share clues and tips for everyone else.

After Yahaxathonix and probably a few others were kind enough to tell us that we were using OLD clues, Czarina suggested to me that we needed to do a more thorough search of Destard. Well, we checked with the ancient wyrm. Nothing. Ran over to the champ spawn area. Nada. But running back from there, I spied cracks in the wall.

Clicking on the wall cracks led to a nice little room where you cannot cast invisibility. (Might not be able to cast any other spells either for all I know.)

Here are screenies of the pages in the book Edward left there. Click on the nest to get your dragon egg.

Next we went to New Magincia and talked to a bonsai master in the flower garden area. Took a bit of knocking him around (j/k) to get him to tell us that he pushed Hanso off on an island and left a marker to the island in a small cave by Wrong.

Czarina is going to lock down runes and an instruction book at her shop in New Magincia, which is very close to the afore-mentioned flower garden. Also, we did try giving the eggs to Riliana, but nothing happened.

The runes are marked down at Mongbats Revenge North east of new magincia moongate with descriptions as the names of the runes. You can use them for easy access to the event items or you can go thru and talk to all the npcs like we did. Either way I hope you all had a happy easter and i will see you all tomorrow!

I don't usually bother with EM events but I have to say this one was quite fun and worth the time and losing two nice LRC suits and a +10 magery spellbook. LOL If anyone else does this one the "hard" way, just don't get sidetracked with old clue books and you should come out of it with your gear intact. I hope.

I've got a question or two and would like some feedback, still being new to Siege and all. And maybe this feedback would also be useful to the EMs, if they happen to be following this thread.

What's the better approach with activities like this on Siege: (1) Keep the info to yourself and try to be as stealthy in obtaining the items as you can be so you don't end up being PKd or stolen from; or (2) go public with the info as we tried to do along the way and thus perhaps make it harder for someone else to get the items later because now the whole shard knows where to go and what to do?

I favor approach #2, obviously, thinking that if the whole shard knows, then people can band together if they want to for purposes of defeating anyone who decides to steal or kill and plunder to obtain someone else's "rewards."

What say you? Has anyone had any problems yet with losing this event's reward items to thieves or PKs? Also, what's been your experience in the areas where you get the rewards as far as being able to cast spells, hide, or fight? Lastly, if someone posts spoilers, do you tend to use any provided shortcuts or do you start at the beginning and puzzle your way through it all to the very end?

Inquiring minds would like to know! Hehe.

back in the day there were pks everywhere but today they a few and far inbetween.
I favor the open information so that more ppl will start pk'ing again but right now you can do the quest at off-times or get a group together for safety.

Just wanted to thank the EM for remembering Siege this Easter and Tina for the spoilers! Thanks also to Dolores and friends for a little help along the way.

To answer your questions, Tina: I appreciate and use the tips when they are posted, especially since our quest expert, Rufio isn't around to figure it all out for me! heh I typically try to help those I find along the way who ask and I am usually quick to help anyone I find thats in trouble! I tried hard to help Dolores today when she was poisoned and I was successful in Destard, but unfortunately, I found that I couldn't get out of llama form in the secret room and wasn't much help to her there!

I do miss the days of PK's and/or guilds who would try and wreak havoc during such events, but it is nice to scurry along my way unscathed once in a while! Maybe I will alert Newt and put him on guard for the slackers who haven't done the quests yet. A little danger always makes things more fun and gets the blood pumping! Muaaahahahaahhaa!

Hello, dungeon explorers... if you find any of the deep blue books as part of the anti virtue dungeon, they are not part of 2011 Easter event on Siege Perilous.

These books are part of one the oldest events. They will never be removed from this game. All of these books are still in place in Britannia ... only!

I know where seven of these books are...I believe it has to do with the opening of the Lost lands, but I would be interested in anyone's knowledge on this historical event.

Seems there might be more Easter dragon event stuff coming soon. Colored eggs spotted in central Luna this evening. Possibly new rocks spotted near Trinsic moongate, along with a trail of "dragon scales" leading to Hidden Valley, where the trail seems to just peter out....

Thank you for saving me from another wild goose chase. LOL I could have sworn the red gems labeled as "a dragon scale" weren't there a few weeks ago but I'm probably remembering running that way on another shard or something.

Anissa Darkstar, the EM many years ago, did an event involving that trail of dragon scales from the Hidden Vale to her house West side of Britain. That event lead players to Ilshenar. That is why there is a pillar with a dragon atop at the Moongate Spirituality. There also other items of note, but I wait for Tina Small to find them first.

I never finished that event do to problems of play.
