Saturday, February 27, there was a Meet & Greet scheduled with EM Seppo and Baja's new Event Moderator, Crysania. Unfortunately, I had a rl commitment at the meeting time, so perhaps someone who was there could give a brief review of what EM Crysania covered at that meeting?
It seems EM Seppo missed the announced meeting, too, BUT, he did appear a couple of hours later, and is sporting a new look!
EM Crysania appeared for a few moments at the second Meet & Greet, but could not stay. Mesanna, UO Associate Producer, was also on hand. To be honest, I don't know what happened to cause EM Seppo's death ... I strongly suspect Mesanna had something to do with it, after all she is a proverbial Goddess of Death! After EM Seppo was resurrected, some VERY strange things started happening with his appearance.
A brief question and answer session was opened by EM Seppo:
Question: Have the results for the writing contest (Recovering Stolen Wisdom - Writing Contest) been posted?
Answer by EM Seppo: Not yet.
Note: EM Seppo has a new computer and is still learning what will and will not work with Windows 7.
Question: Will Baja have EM automatic rewards statues like some of the other shards? (Used an example of some EMs recently giving out sashes via the statues)
Answer by Mesanna: We have a nice tool to give out rewards when the event warrants it. As for sashes, your EMs wanted to put it on a more personal level, they made each one by hand with Love for you guys.
Seppo: Yea! The old fashioned way!
Mesanna: So, for rewards, yes, we do have a means to let everyone get a reward, and it will be used in the future. It's a tool to make it easier on the EMs.
For some reason, Mesanna took Darlantan outside for a private conversation:
Question: Will we have Player Ran Towns on Baja?
Answer by EM Seppo: Right now the answer is the same as in the past when we talked about it at the last Meet & Greet.
When it was discovered the person asking had not been able to attend the last Meet & Greet, EM Seppo found his notes:
EM Seppo: The township concept was discussed last time, like the one on Chessy. At that time, it was that decided we keep it the way we have been doing so far ... that is the opportunity to have banners and such through events. For instance, the ones that were given during the Casca arc.
Question for Mesanna: Rumor is you are married to Misk and that you two met in UO.
Answer by Mesanna: Rumor is correct.
Question for Mesanna: Did you and Misk meet in UO?
Answer by Mesanna: Yes we did. I lived in GA, and he lived in CA. We have been together ever since. UO is a very unique game, we have all made friends that we will never forget.
Comment by EM Seppo: Town Guards have been asked if new guards will be given the sashes that were presented to them. Short answer is: No. Long answer is: From time to time, we will try to reward players in ways that rewards them for their participation - not just killing a boss - but those are only one time things. So, in other words, you should participate without expecting a reward. I like to surprise people anyways, so if you ever have a question where one answer will be something that is not surprising, then that is probably not going to happen!

Answer by EM Seppo: If you have questions, feel free to post them there, and most likely me or Crysania will respond. Or you can always just email. One thing, though, I often get people who send email and ask me to contact them back through ICQ. I cannot contact people on ICQ, so I am not ignoring you - I just can't use that method of communication (or any other instant messaging program). If you include your email, there is a small chance I get back to you if it is urgent enough, but never ICQ.
Claification: By email, EM Seppo means the feedback form found by using the 'Contact Us' link on the EM website, goldenbrewtavern.com. This form sends an email to both EM Seppo and EM Crysania.
Question: Are in-game weddings still being performed?
Answer by EM Seppo: Yes, we just haven't had any wedding requests. Casca was going to get married to a certain someone, but he died. Crysania would love the opportunity to perform a wedding, though.
Note: At this point, those gathered started speculating about who 'a certain someone was', and, for some unknown reason, WildStar was glaring.
EM Seppo's closing comments: 'I had on last thing to preach ... Just a general note kind of thing. It has been more than a year now on Baja, at least for me, I just wanted to remind people that often when you know someone long enough --- * searches for words *. Well, things can get a bit personal -- not really the right word, but, as an EM I don't have 'enemy list' or 'black lists' or 'favorites' and such. We don't always see eye to eye, but I'm not a grudge holding type of person.'
