[News] Deadly Master Assassin Attacks An-Buci

An-Buci's visit to the Royal Zoo was interrupted by a deadly assassin. Duke Hast Mich led the tour showing the visiting gargoyle scholar each of the animals on display at the Zoo. An-Buci was overheard objecting to keeping creatures such as the sphinx which are highly intelligent and mystical under lock and key. Although some of the humans present thought that An-Buci would make an excellent addition to the menagerie. Just as we had reached the end of the tour and were admiring the polar bears, an assassin entered from the southern edge of the building and wove through the crowd.

Without a word, the assassin attacked An-Buci and quickly found himself surrounded by gargoyle advocates. The assassin was strong and capable of knocking out warriors in one hit and if that wasn't enough the assassin also used unusual tactics! The Assassin sang a sweet melody that drained strength and ability from all who heard it. Some of the ladies who heard the assassin’s smooth voice stripped off all their clothes and danced along to the music as they were trying to fight.

After a long and difficult fight someone claimed to have recovered the assassin's pendant. After the Assassin had been driven off, An-Buci asked to be taken to the Lycaeum. As An-Buci was recovering from the attack she was told by her defenders that assassins walk freely in Britannia and that the land is lawless. Lady Aino Nystad was slain right in front of Queen Dawn and the killer is still at large. An-Buci was disturbed to hear of Lady Nystad's death and said that she would speak to Queen Zhah of Ter Mur about the danger rampant in Britannia and the ill will that many humans harbor toward the gargoyles.

....yet its' humans and elves crawling all over their lands, taking their resources, their treasure, their skills, their crafts, and stealing their rarities. Humans and elves who lure their Renowneds away from their homes to do their bidding against cavemen rats. Humans and Elves who camp the spawns in order to farm keys, or resources to sell for exorbitant prices in Luna. Humans and elves that greedily take advantage of their soul forges.

I have yet to observe gargoyle assassins running around Ter Mur attempting to kill the humans and elves.

What I do see is a bunch of scared little people who throw insults at the Gargoyles for no concrete reason. Whispers and conjecture without concrete proof of any nefarious motive. Who move immediately to violence against the Gargoyles without cause.

It is humans and elves that have shown themselves base and violent. The Virtues we hold most dear, Honor, Compassion, Justice, Honesty, Humility, Sacrifice, Spirituality, and Valor have been suspended by some in favor of personal gain, greed and corruption.

It would not be without cause if the Gargoyle Queen were to issue edicts banning humans and elves from her lands. Hopefully, the example of the majority, who hold our virtues more dear, even when it is inconvenient, will forge new ties.
