[NEWS]Court Documents Revealed!

Last Evening the Court of Yew was the back drop for what some residents are calling "The biggest case since Ricardo!" The proceedings were slated for Eight O'clock by the Eastern Sun, and by the time I had arrived seating was being issued and the jury had already found it's place, the trial was set to begin.

Escorted by a Bailiff, Owen Uther was seated next to his defense attorney Ms.Freeman, opposite of the two Judge Locke was assaulted by a coughing fit but, none the less, called the court to order. The Royal Prosecutor, Jane Cuffington, made her intentions clear, claiming that Owen Uther has in fact murdered Jes, and through extortion attempted to concealed the crime.

Witnesses were called and questions in the following order, Nana the Sweet, the daughter of the local baker who was to wed the murdered Jes in just a few short months. Sara Uther, wife of Own Uther, who became emotional during the hearing and was dismissed. During all of this I noted a familiar face, Sup Soc, scribbling away on a small desk set off to the side.

The third witness called was Father Alexander of Empath Abbey, little did the gathering know the monk carried the powder keg that would set the court room ablaze!

Father Alexander claimed that Owen Uther had strangled Jes for absconding with his prized sword, of which Alexander had intimate knowledge, having blessed it the night of Minax's invasion of Yew! The plot furthered thickened as Father Alexander was cross examined by one Ms.Freeman, claiming that Father Alexander's revelation was fueled by a sincere wish to discredit Owen and prevent him from using the Abbey for uses the monk's did not approve of.

With an almost smug grin the Father inform the court that Owen had recently falling into the ranks of the Priests of Mondain!! Strolling away from the Judge the room exploding into a rabble culminating in one Owen Uther being called to the stand!

Like a beast unchained Owen made it clear his superiority and innocence, to such a degree that Magistrate Locke had the bailiff remove him in chains, as closing statements were made, the vaulted metal doors of the court flew from their hinges and a tall green orc bearing the markings of the local tribe set his beady eyes on the gathering.

One juror comment "Why would an innocent man run?", another juror rebutted "Why would an innocent man go to jail?" The witty banter and even the jury's ruling was interrupted by an extended bout of combat with an Orcish Horde.

Facts are vague at this point, but one could be sure Yew will have no shortage of whispers this day! Look for witness reports on the Orc attacks soon!
