Casca is Dead!
In a strange confrontation with Queen Dawn, King Casca has fallen to his death while trying to take the Brilliant Ruby captured from the Shadowlords...
Scores of citizens showed up for the Royal Inquiry where Casca & Dawn stood atop a high rostrum in front of the large crowd. King Casca blamed Queen Dawn for the recent upheavals on the Isle of Fire.
The real reason for the "Inquiry" became apparent when King Casca wheedled, cajoled and finally attacked Queen Dawn in an attempt to get his hands on the Brilliant Gem she had possession of.
Our Glorious King never being a man with much athletic coordination, either fell off the dais or jumped off in the belief that he could land safely and escape the increasingly hostile crowd.
While looters & scavengers picked through his rich clothing for treasures, Lady Dawn declares us free from the influence and danger of Casca and the Shadowlords.
Queen Dawn bids us to go forth and spread the news that King Casca is dead and the crowds slowly disperse. Always mindful of civic cleanliness, Lady Aalia suggests a clean up crew.
A ghostly message appeared to me before I left. I wondered if it could mean Casca is not completely defeated or perhaps just the last words of a dying man. Alas this reporter could not decipher the meaning because of a lack of the spirit speak skill, so could not determine which it could be.
And so we left him there wondering if this was really the new beginning of peace Lady Dawn had promised us...
