Eh? What exploit was this? Or are we not allowed to discuss it?

I was hoping that the delayed recall bug might have gotten fixed but it is still there.

I hope that is the one that has suddenly seen mass used by shady PVP guilds.

The housing issue isn't an exploit--it's a scripting issue.

I'm guessing it's the exploit of using quest items to be unlootable discussed here

[/ QUOTE ]No, the house placement exploits will be solved in a suite of fixes, rather than addressing any one particular issue. That'll happen in a regularly scheduled publish; this stuff is out of cycle.

Would that be the one your guild posted for everyone on Atlantic to use? Which btw was left for hours just so everyone could read it. Stop pretending to be an upstanding citizen :/

Care to expound on what the suite will consist of, and when we can expect it? If this is the "let's dumb-down idocs so that skill and planning are irrelevant" fix, then it would be good to know so that we can close down the accounts we will no longer need before the next billing cycle.

Thanks

I still want to know what this exploit was.

Not the specifics, but what you could do.

Example: "This exploit allowed you to use a certain NPC to buy skills up to GM level."

Not the details, just what you could do before, that now you can't.

I've heard several references to a "Godmode" Bug, and i believe it. I just recently fought a Parry/Mage with my Samurai/Swordsman who has 120.0 Swords/120.0 Bushido/120.0 Parry/GM Tact/GM Anat/GM Healing/60.0 Focus, with 25% HCI/45% DCI (45% HCI with Lightning Strike). Throughout the entire 3-5 minute fight i was only able to land about 5-7 hits on him, and most of those after i got lucky and landed a Disarm. He stood right next to me for nearly the entire fight. Almost every single one of my attacks was either Blocked or Dodged.

I've had a Parry/Mage before, and i know the game mechanics damn well, and there's no way in hell this guy could of legally Blocked/Dodged that many attacks in a row, even if he had 120.0 Magery/120.0 Parry/120.0 Bushido/80+ DEX/45% DCI and the RNG was deciding to take a crap on me. He was able to sit next to me and spam Poisons, Harms and Exp+FS Combos on me while i was swinging away every 1.25 Secs with a Blade of Insanity with Lightning Strike toggled. All i heard was the *Tink* *Tink* *Tink* of him blocking and the *Wiff* of my sword, he was even able to stand right next to me and summon a Daemon uninterrupted.

Is that the type of "Godmode" bug you were referring to, Nystul-Cats?

I've noticed stuff like this when my archer goes up against some parry dexers and I'd always attributed it to something just poorly thought out in the balance of DCI, Parry, and archery's seemingly-substandard hit chance.

But your guy being a swordsman and seeing that same sh*t.... geez, I donno, but that sounds horrible. If that was actually some sort of exploit I hope it's gone now.

Yeah, with all those skills, my Samurai/Swordsman has the max chance to block, 40% with a 2 Handed Wep. When i use Evasion, it increases it by half of what it is, boosts my Block chance up to 60% for 8 Seconds. Even then, i don't block nearly as much as that Parry/Mage was.

In my 10+ years of playing UO, i've seen some pretty messed up stuff, yet about after the 10th or 15th miss in a row, i quite literally said out loud in RL "WTF!?
