"Halloweenie"(Term trademarked by EM Cyno Razik) festivities were a part of Pacific all throughout the month of October, and shard residents were presented with all sorts of fun things to do.
From EM's Kaz and Cyno started the action early on in the month with a series of events telling the story of the mysterious Phantom Rider and his ally the Halloweenie King. Both were eventually overtaken by the forces of good, and order restored to the lands(well, mostly).
Kaz and Cyno sponsored a seasonal costume ball and contest on the 21st, as well, and seven awards were placed at the reward hall for the following winners:
Best EM Schmoozing Costume: Skett
Best UO Character Costume: The Ancients
Best Story Costume: Tyeelor
BEst Funny Costume: Paupau
Best Scary Costume: DarkCloud
Best Overall Costume: Joy
And last but not least, Best Turnip Costume: Kitsune
Mesanna herself also appeared on Pacific later in the month to dye special jack o'lanterns spooky shades of black/yellow and black/red. She also played mediator for Kaz and Cyno's squabble. Result of their failure to kiss and make up: EM Dartboards.
This past thursday was the start of the official UO Halloween event complete with pumpkin picking, trick or treating/begging, and feeding special treats to hellhounds for a chance to obtain a bloody sash. Warning: the treats cause aggression issues, so be careful if you try this.
Many players on Pacific seemed to particularly enjoy combing the farmers' fields to find special jack o'lanterns grown with names "carved" in them.
Luna City turned into Pumpkin Depot for everyone to drop off named pumpkins and jack o'lanterns they found. GANI[VK] undertook the laborous task of neatly stacking all the gourds and announcing the names of found ones in the general chat channel. Thank you GANI and everyone else who has helped unite lost pumpkins with their people.
If you still havent found your personal jack o'lantern, keep checking Luna as well as the fields. They will be spawning for a while longer.
