Newcastle Rededication (lots o' pics)

It was a lovely evening as the populous came out to attend the Ceremonies. After everyone was settled, Princess Nikki announced that the castle was to be rededicated to the township of Newcastle.

She then handed over the floor to Malag-aste to promote two squires to knights.

First Torgoth...

Then Jaegermeister....

Next Maverick was promoted from Zealot to Dragoon...

And at the end, Maelmordha was sworn in as Templar of the Royal Knights of Virtue...

After the ceremony, the congregation was moved to the Coloseum for a few tournaments.

In the archery tournament, Goran of Yew Archers took first place with a commanding lead. Torgoth of RKV took second, and Maverick of RKV took third.

In the magery tournament, it was luck of the draw to see who could procure the named animal summon first. The last round was for the grand prize won by Mocco.

In the jousting tournament, first place was taken by Striker of DoH!, second by Ludwig Van Foltz of RKV, and third by Torgoth of RKV.

Thank you to all who came out, you made it all great!!

By the looks of the pics you weren't the onlyone that missed it. I too was unable to attend, had to wash my hair that night.

Congratulations to your new Knights. Just because it isn't everyone's playstyle doesn't mean it's not important to you or your new knights.:)

Thank you to all who attended. I hope everyone had a great time. I know I did. I'm sure we'll have many more fine celebrations to come, with more games and prizes. Everyone is always welcome to attend..... though please refrain from the use of Necromancy.... as it's rather frowned upon in Newcastle.

Thank you all,

Malag-aste Hla-ate, Undermarshall of the Royal Knights of Virtue

The actual 'ceremony' took like 5-10 minutes, tops. The majority of the night was the events, I know... I was there (and no I wasn't one of the Knights).

Again, different playstyles. I'd shove a kryss through MY neck if my entire UO time was spent smack talking on forums and doing Harrowers. I mean, how pathetic is THAT? :D

Hail...i fully enjoyed the event itself...although i didnt expect it to take 52 min from start to finish for the dedications/promotions of the knights

the event itself was one that i looked forward to as there are few public rp events...and the games were fun...especially the mages tryin to summon critters and spendin 10 min tryin to summon a chicken lol

I'm glad to hear you had a good time. We plan to keep having events. If your ever interested in hanging out hearing stories or anything we do have open tavern night every other Monday night. All are welcome to attend if you need a rune or anything feel free to PM me... and I'll get you one.... Or you can ask any of the RKV.... I'll even invite that fuddy duddy Kahlan.
