New Treasure Maps :)

Just wanted to say that even though there are some tweaks that need to be made to the treasure maps, like fixing the ones you can not get to, I am having a blast doing the ones I can get to. I know there have been a lot of negative posts on the issue, but overall I can honestly say I have had a ton of fun doing the maps I can actually dig up. I am not all smart and analytical like many of the folks that post hear, so you will just have to accept my "I am having fun!" as why I like the new changes to the Treasure Maps. I hope everyone else can enjoy them too!

Oh ... I like them, too.
I always wanted to train a t-hunter but I was too lazy to make a copy of those hunting librarys. And now theres no reason at all to get one. (If you have a runebook for: islands, dungeon entrances, citys and shrines + a moongate you are done for one facet.) Not to mention that I had a tamer-t-hunter or a bard-t-hunter in mind and training bard/tamer scared me off. With the need for mining now and my unwill to intensivly use of soulstones, both templates are no longer decent choices for me. So I am now more likely doing a way faster to train t-hunter. (Atm going into the direction of cartho, lp, mining, magery, myticism, focus and maybe resists/medi or something to fill up.)

I love them. I'm still trying to get a Tokuno and Ilshenar T-map. :)

If you dont care for the level of the map ... you fish up maps for tokuno, when you fish around those islands.

You really don't need mining at all. It just takes a bit of practice to read the maps. I'm finding most maps now in less than five minutes, and was surprised with one that hit on the first dig.

But, if you more comfortable with mining, you can still make a very good T-Hunter, with just a little bit less offensive power.

Agree with the OP. I am in the process of doing all my old maps now before the 30 day timer, but after doing some new maps I find that whole process a bit boring, oddly enough. I do the new maps in between for fun and to increase my map locating skills. I thought it would suck big time after my initial try on test center. But as I found out, you get better finding the chest after awhile. I do however have a max set time on how long I am going to bother trying to locate it. if I haven`t found it during that time I just toss it away and try another. Sometimes, life it just too short for a few things:)
