The long awaited moment has come! We will be launching our new website for general community access starting this weekend. There are a lot of cool features for you to look forward to, including: the ability to create your own social group and forum, community and one-on-one chat, activity walls, group calendars, improved navigability, and community article submissions. In general, the website is focused on encouraging community interaction and community generated content. You can also count on continued access to all the current content on Stratics even after launch of the new Site. All content from the current websites (uo2.stratics.com, uo.stratics.com, stratics.com, and stratics.com/community) is in the process of migrating to the new Stratics. Most of it will already be there when you first login, but if you can't find it on the new website, all your bookmarks to old content will still function. Links to archived content will also be provided in the top menu of the new Site.
Forum access will remain open through as much of the migration as possible. There may be brief interruptions to service to perform work on the servers or to assist in moving content, but this will be minimized. After launch, the boards will remain open for a sufficient period to time to allow you to get your new account setup. Account usernames will migrate, but passwords will have to be reset in order to login. After the transition period is over, the current boards will be locked, but still accessible as described above.
This website opens a lot of new opportunities for the community and we are excited to see what we can do with it. Even after launch, we will continue to refine and incorporate additional features to improve the Stratics experience.
