I'm not sure I see how this will 'screw thieves' as you put it. The stealables listed are what you get points FROM, not what you get WITH your points.

And I don't believe they said Treasure Maps and SOSs would get anything new this time around aside from being affected by the global loot changes....

Only the magic stuff in them, the rest stay the same.

Global Loot Changes
All magical items (weapons, armor, and jewelry) will now spawn with properties generated via new loot property generation. These include items found,
•On Monsters

•In SoS Chests

•In Treasure Chests

•In Dungeon Chests

•In Khaldun Puzzle Chests

•From Dredging Hooks

•From Quest rewards

Which makes them more then a dig/fish up and grab the special loot race now. I haven't tested the higher level maps but I got 5 property antique jewels in a level 1 fel map last night.

I did not have a good luck suit to test it with, I think Luck will effect it

I wasn't wearing a luck suit. I was using my normal suit that I copied over.
