Hail: How New are you to UO? If you have joined within the last 6 months or so, please register, "if you have not done so already", here on Stratics, and come in and say Hi, and what do you think of the game so far?

We see a lot of post of people quitting, so lets see the post of people joining.

How ironic that the first 2 replies in a tread for 'New' players have nearly 30,000 stratics posts between them.

new players...currently number 1 on the endangered species list!!

Wish we could change that, but without communication and marketing and the availability to buy the game, and actually access the pages and set up accounts without having to jump thru hoops to do it...*shrugs*

I've tried to start several of my friends in KR as of recently. Every one of them have the same reaction regarding haven... The place is a mess, with no clear direction at all. I don't like wow, but at least it directs you in the beginning, so you know where you're headed.

You can't even find the game on the shelves of a store (best buy etc) - how would we get new players?

I run into new players from time to time.... you just have to spend more time actually talking to other folk instead of just running by or killing everything you see... I spend a bunch of time out in the lands and dungeons and in haven.... so I come upon new people every so often.... (though several of them started because a friend convinced them to).....

two years ago i found Ultima Online "Gold Edition" on the shelf at walmart for 8 bucks. So it *used* to be on the shelves. lol

Hello.
I started last November... first on Europe then Catskills.

Here is one thing I know... If UO had Companions again... newcomers would have alot more fun.
