New player, new account, but confused...

Hail, friendly comunity!

I'm a hardcore Ultima fan since Ultima I was out for Commodore 64, and now I've finally decided to step into Ultima Online, but... after spending the whole day on support.ea.com and the Mythic website, I'm still somewhat confused.
Maybe my english is not as good as I hoped, but I really don't understand how the accounts work.
From Mythic's front page, I see you can purchase the game for 39$, with 30 days of gameplay included.
But you can also play the 14-days trial and then have 60$ billed on your CC for 6 months of gameplay.

In conclusion: do I have to buy the game, and then pay for the game time, or can I just download the client and purchase game time with my Credit Card?

First off, you pay a monthly fee to play UO. It's typically $12.99 a month, but it's a bit cheaper if you buy six months at a time.

The $39 purchase you see is actually the most recent expansion and it was just released today. If you buy that, you'll have access to everything in UO.

If, however, you use the free 15 day trial, you'll have access to everything but the latest expansion. You can play that and buy the cheaper $29 upgrade later to get the latest content. Mind you, there is probably more depth and diversity in all the previous content than you'll find in any other MMO.

Now I see what got me confused... this means that all players use the same client, but have access to different features depending on their account level?
So even if I'm 99% of the SA client download, I won't be able to play a Gargoyle with the 14-days trial, right?

Once your 14 day trial period is up, you can buy the cheaper $29 upgrade, however.

Or you can do what I did, start the trial, after 3 days (or 1 minute) realise how great this game still is and phone EA support on 001-866-543-5435 and ask them to change your trial account to a subscription account. Took them all of 2 minutes to do that for me.

Yes you can uogamecodes.com has an 'outside the US' clicky when you order the codes

My friend from Turkey used the US site as there is no Turkish equivalent, she used a fake American address when buying from the site but I'm not sure if thats required
