So, I was thinking I'll buy the new player code from uogamecodes rather then trying the 14 days demo+credit card billing.
This should allow me to pay in dollars, and if I'm not mistaken I can't just do "14-days-trial -> upgrade -> 90 days gamecode" because uogamecodes allows purchases only if you are "active for more than 30" (days, I presume).
Am I right?
Sorry if ask so many questions but I'm scared by all the people who bought thru uogamecodes and received... uh... nothing.

Trying to buy a "New Stygian Abyss Player" coupon from uogamecodes, I am asked to insert my UO username and password... but if I'm a new player, how can I already have a UO username and password? And uogamecodes doesn't have a support email or phone number? Help!!!

If I'm not mistaken you could create a 14-day trial account, buy the SA New Account code, upgrade your account to retail with the new acc code and have 44 days of free game time.

...in that case, shouldn't I buy a (less costy) upgrade existing account code?

The upgrade code doesn't have 30 days of free game time. Only the new account code has that.

But the new account code will not upgrade the trial account... it is for new accounts only. Maybe create a trial account so you have an account to use uogamecodes to buy the SA new account code? either that, or just go to the EA-Store and buy there - no account needed there.

No account needed, but 38.99$ = ~45€ there for some mysterious reason.
On the other hand, I'm afraid I could end up with a code I can't use if I buy it from uogamecodes, and EA support didn't answer me (yet).

We are currently looking into this. For new accounts please try the EA Store or contact customer support with assistance with your purchase. They can be reached at http://support.ea.com.

Look, it's pretty simple. You have just two options:

1. At any time during or after the 14-day trial, you can convert the free trial into a paying account. You can do this by calling EA and having them switch it to a paying account (which will cost you 10-12/mo) and you play without the upgrade.

2. Or you can immediately purchase the 39.99 SA new account through the EA store which will include the upgrade, plus 30 days of free game time whereafter you'll be charged a regular monthly fee (10-12/mo). You can also use this option during your 14 day free trial.

The 29.99 upgrade is only good for accounts that are at least 30 days old.

New account code at EA US store = $39.99, 39.95€ for EU. Upgrade code $29.99 or 29.95€..

Thank you all for your kind answers again.
So, I finally bought the 39.90 new player code directly from EA Store, and... surprise, it doesn't work. :sad2:
All I get when I try to enter my registration code is: "Error! Sorry, but there was a problem with the registration code you have entered. Please check your information and try again."
It's soooooo frustrating! Hellllpppp!!!!

Your definitely using the account code and not the promotional items code? You should have got 2 codes in your email.

Indeed, I only had 1 code, and after contacting EA support (as Chrissay kindly suggested), I got a second e-mail with a link to the actual code.
I find it strange and tortuous, but it worked! So joy, I'm playing at last!

The 29.99 upgrade is only good for accounts that are at least 30 days old.
I purchased the Upgrade Code from UOGameCodes and my account was only 10 days old. I had called EA this last Saturday and had them convert my account from a 14-day trial account to a full fledged paying account (this forfeited the remaining 7 days of the trial btw). Then Tuesday when SA was released, I purchased the upgrade code without any problems whatsoever.

So while UOGameCodes says the upgrade code(s) are only for accounts that are at least 30 days old on their TOS, I think the only thing they check is whether or not your account is on an actual paid subscription plan with at least one subscription payment processed. If your account meets that criteria, regardless of age, then UOGameCodes will allow you to purchase upgrade codes. If your account does not meet that criteria, then I would assume UOGameCodes will not allow you to purchase upgrade codes.
