I sort of want to try out KR on my new PC, but I don't want to reactivate my account right now. Is there anywhere I can get a new account code online or do I pretty much have to ask around for one?

heh! ... then you'll be wanting to download KR for free ... and activate either a trial account for the look around (cheapest path)
or pay a month on your old account ... and look around for a month on the free KR download and/or compare/play the 2d...

If you have never played Ultima Online before, this is the place to begin! Follow Gwen through the New Player Experience and begin adventuring through the massive worlds of Britannia.
Trial requires the entry of a registration key provided below. A major credit card is required to validate your account but will not be charged during the trial period. Please note the credit card will be automatically charged at the end of the trial unless cancelled.
Step 1:
Create account at www.ultima-registration.com
Click "Create Account", following account creation instructions -
when prompted, enter registration code: FREE-UOKR-REG1-14DT
Step 2:
Download Game Client
Download game file from the same download site as registration code. Allow patch screen to update and then press "play"

actually, i just found on this page there's a bittorrent link. that's probably the best way to DL it.
