New Myxkion Loot!

Instead of just gems and gold when the magic lockbox pops open all kinds of weapons armor talismans jewels and even peerless ingredients pile onto the floor!

We just killed the first myxkion of the day in despise and this is what we found.

Some of the items are pretty decent great mods. About as many peerless ingredients as doing a peerless drop tons of gold gems as usual and the box.

If youre talking atlantic this morning, I got the the Crimson Cin. Woohoo. 9 years of playing and my second big item. First one was the hat of magi during the first week of darkfathers.

Its cool. I guess someone clicked the box and stuff exploded. I couldnt tell.
I know there is no way to hold the box. It must way a ton.

Seriously I already earned 4 crimsons the hard way which took me well over 1k peerless runs only to have someone hack my account and take them.

Wow...that sucks. Two back to back here was best day here, with a total of prob 20 CC over a good 3K runs.

Why? simeple, everyone can get loot on ground, ml ingredients and ml loot
and also the chest, even if he dont fight the stranger...this really suck!

To be honest, getting the elusive apron is everyone's hope when they do a peerless. I personally do not agree with putting loot from peerless in event spawns. The reason I say that is because I would like to see more creative way of putting new event related items on the spawns.

Back to the apron subject, it is completely random I'm sorry that out of 6k runs you only managed 1. Its all luck all I can say is best of luck in your future peerless kills.

I am with you on this.. In fact this has got me not even want to go to the event, cause I know if i am there fighting and someone is just following waiting to grab loot I am going to get ticked and would rather pass on the frustration.

I mean why fight if you can stand around and actually have a better chance of getting loot since your not fighting when it drops you would be ready to grab while those that are fighting are busy.

Well everyone was complaining how the monsters are so hard and it's a tamer's event blah blah. Now everyone has a chance to get something. If they wanna stand back and watch (even though i don't see how with all the AOE stuff he does), they take the chance the the people fighting him will fail and they will get nothing.

What I see here, is people winge about it being too hard... then people winge becuase its easier or whatever... For heavens sake just enjoy the event and get on with it. Its winging that's destroyed most of UO, and with every moan and complaint it becomes closer to being canned.

If you dont like the event or UO, go to WoW where its all mainstream, has no character and is about as much fun as eating sand.

Personally I think the Devs should make it alot harder, auto reveal anyone hidden near the stranger, area damage for about 250hp per both when he dies and when the box is opened. then there will be no 'waiting people' to grab your precious loot, including yourself.

And you have played this game HOW long... all will sit back , stand outside the normal 10 tile damage ring & not be hurt... Walk right in, collect the loot & walk off while your OoOooO & watching. Not a bright idea

Never sat back on any yet & not about to... Always in the middle of it either kicking its Arse or getting mine handed to me. An btw, I could care less about pixel crack, after 8 yrs playing I have all the crap I need & most of it ISN'T Arti's. I do with other & do as well or better a lot of the times then artied up noobs!

And yes I would do it dungeon wide.. just so people can moan some more. Besides everyone who plays UO plays for the 'pixel crack' as you call it. Its basically a peerless boss, so treat it as such.

Its too easy as it stands and the fact that most tamables dont work is a mastermind. We need near impossible to beat guys in the game. I'm guessing that your one of the wingers and moaners as your standing up for them eh?

This pattern of loot dropping also helps the people who are there in support roles, like the healers. I haven't done much damage to most of the Myxkions that I've fought since I was busy keeping people alive, yet I still get a share of the loot. And nobody there complained about it for some odd reason.

I've seen a lot more of the helpers around than the looters. But don't get me wrong, there have been people who haven't helped but still shared in the looting process. It's a double edged sword.

And honestly, I approve of the loot drop.

I'm going to guess that anyone who feels this loot drop is a good idea didn't play when AoS first came out. When that happened the loot in DOOM was incredible. It was the best in the game. In response to this there were programs created to loot the good item automatically off the corpses. What we are going to see now is these same programs on players showing up and looting all the items from this event they add into their list while everyone else just wonders how they disappear so fast.

This is, yet again, another step back for the UO development team. We have a fantastic system that drops earned loot into a players pack and yet we get this pile of tripe. It really becomes a drag finding new stuff ruined in UO that pops up after being fixed time and time and time and time again. Way to go whoever decided this was going into production.

dunno why you don't get good drops doing peerless, maybe you need to help with the key's ? or lower spawns ?
i kill everything i can and get good drops.. working on my 6th crimson. not that hard.

Good question seeing eventually the only way to get rid of gold is to broker it.

Not to mention the bonus having a 50 necro/spirit speak character gives you over everyone else. Why not just create a freaking young chracter on a throw away account take them to despise cast a horde minion and just loot like crazy when it dies with your horde minion looting like crazy too. The stuff should have remained in the chest to be looted by everyone or on the dudes corpse.

RNG for the win. Eventually MMORPGs will figure out that the RNG is the stupidest part of the game and figure out another way to do it. Maybe you should be guaranteed a Crimson every 1000 peerless or so.

So to understand completely...you are whining about people whining. You think the whiners killed UO. What killed UO is a trash PvP system and other such systems that allowed cheaters to prosper which casused the game to become full of cheaters. When people started realising the cheaters in this game were the ones that got ahead, they simply chose to move on to games where hard work and dedication actually means something in the end.

Its easier than most peerless bosses. Its more like a WoW event...STAY OUT OF The FIRE!

My dog worked just fine. I got over 30 gems. I simply used my dog to add to the damage I was doing with mind blast. If I do it again on ogre island, I will probably use my dryad alure and feed ogre lords to it.

For about nothing, but obviously you don't mind voicing it anyways. If you quit UO then maybe you shouldn't post anymore. I mean, seriously, when I take time off I don't even post.
