New* Miner

Hey guys, couple questions regarding mining, im an old player, about 12.5 years on my main account, i've come in an out of the game since shortly after the games release, i've recently come back again and i decided to restart on a new shard as to kind of refuel my love for the game, starting from scratch, i decided to start in hardmode and only run with a crafter in the beginning, as far as mining goes, i know sometime ago they decided to change the way you can mine as far as the rare ores go, instead of just being able to mark a rune and get a full runebook marked with valorite you know have to physically search for it. I've been back mining for about 3 weeks, now during this time, i have marked random spots that have different ores, the only ones i've noticed that actually change are verite and valorite, all the other ores have been consistent. do all the ore nodes stay the same except for verite and valorite? questioning so that i may mark runebooks for all the ore types except the two rarer nodes.

They all change eventually. All the spots seem to be coded to have set amount of digs til empty before it swaps out. I mined a valorite spot for a few weeks before it changed unfortunately it only produced about 12 ore per time in fel. Spots that have alot of digs til empty are good to keep an eye one.
Also if you have a prospector tool you can change the color up by one. Verite to valorite for example. Also if you can kill it you can spawn a ore elemental of the color your digging with garg pickaxe to get more ore.
