Summon Harbinger. Get it to Disco you. Run into house and start Imbuing.
(would work for other crafting skills too)

perhaps keep line of sight but be too far away to be casted on?

The thing is that discord is also distance sensitive - if you remove yourself too far from the target (or in this case the bard), it wears off after a little while. But perhaps it can be done - who can tell before having tried

Tested this a couple weeks ago and didn't have any luck. No good as the disco does wear off very fast when line of sight breaks or out of casting range.
