They have owners so you can trade them back to your enemy, or sell them back! Or it makes you farm more silver or buy more silver so you acutally have to do some work and it makes the economy go round...

Thye are faction items and can only be worn by faction players with proper rank.
Anyhow the sieges players prob got it right and it works great for them.
Just kinda pointless in any other Shard.
I am glad that they finally got some love, all be it a tiny peck on the cheek.

If a player quits factions will all the bonus on items go away as well?
If you quit factions, you will not be able to wear the items. Basically they become deco items. Lock them down in your house so that people can see that at one time your char was in factions. Maybe that is also one of the reasons they are only for the person that bought it, otherwise people would be trading them to other chars.
Yea insuring them works just fine...

you don't have a chance in hell surviving against a Faction character over there, lol, unless you yourself is in a faction.
