new elf cant use gate to Twisted Wealds

I just finished the human to elf quest and now I am going to tame a cu. But everytime a get into the gate I get a message that "I dance in the fairey circle but nothing happens" I am doing something wrong?

You need to take the quest to defeat the Dread Horn from one of the elves in Heartwood.

You just have to accept the quest, you don't actually have to go fight dreadhorn.

Heartwood quest npc for entry to Twisted Weald is "Calendor."
