New Account Question

I already have one account and want another for a family member. Do I have to go to town to purchase another game to get the code or can I purchase one through Blizzard. Thanks.

If I remember right, I simply used the same game cd's as from the first account, loaded the new pc with the software, and bought the BC code online. THen on install on the second, new, pc I entered the new account info.

You should have to buy the physical package to get them started.

Someone at the store told me that in order to open a new account I have to purchase World of Warcraft for the code and also Burning Crusade for the code. Is that true? Thanks for your reply and wish I had read your message first. Where online could this have been bought?

If I remember right, yes you should buy the cd pack, that is the easiest way to get the cd game code for WoW. Walmart among others have them in the discount cd game areas, shouldn't be much.

Then to upgrade to Burning Crusade, you can upgrade your new account online here...

WoW Home page Look for the button down the right side called "The Burning Crusade digital upgrade" and you can get that portion for $29.99 online.

Actually, you should send them a "friend" invite. That way when they download the client and pay for it, you get a free month. As far as I remember from doing that, they can pay for the game on line. You don't have to actually get a box, but you do have to pay for both the original wow and the upgrade.

But at least you get a free month out of it.
