Question 1: You know how several of you have said that you can log into the new system by using your "Mythic Master Account" (or whatever it's called), which is your UO account with "_UO" attached? Where did you find out about this? Is there some documentation I'm missing?
Nope, you're not missing any documentation. I think a few people figured out that that your Mythic Master Account
might be your UO account name with "_UO" attached after they successfully stumbled through the process of logging into their EA account and saw how their UO account names were displayed. (Next to the EA Account Name field is a "What is this" link that tells you it's an e-mail address. If you had a good idea of which e-mail address that might be, you could go through a lost password recovery process to get through the process of logging into your EA Account for the very first time.)
Question 2: As far as anyone knows, is there some way under this new system that others can see your account name and/or account-affiliated E-Mail address?
Just based on what I've experienced trying to get help with what appears to be a nine-account limitation on the number of accounts you can link to one EA Account, it seems like the EA Customer Support people can see this information, which seems pretty much like a necessity. However, I haven't seen anything else
so far that makes me think that information is going to be displayed on something like a publicly-accessible profile page. But I don't know that for a certainty and have thus avoided like the plague the page that asks you to select a public profile URL. (You get that page to pop up by using certain other login pages that also show the Origin logo. I always stick to the Bioware Mythic login page you go to by clicking the Account button on the UO client login page. It goes here:
https://accounts.eamythic.com/ .) I have no idea what EA means to do with the profile page and suspect it's going to be something we will have to deal with or get used to a little further into this migration process when our EA Accounts become Origin Accounts. If that public profile page is being used at all at this point, I'd guess it's being used by people playing other EA games or was built to be used with the new Star Wars game.
Question 3: Is there a way to change your account-affiliated E-Mail address in the new system?
Yes. Once you have successfully navigated the process of logging into your EA Account by one means or another (either directly or by way of using your UO account name and password and building a new EA Account as described below), you can click on the Contact Information tab and change your e-mail address. There's a notice that tells you that this will change how you log into your EA Account in the future, since your e-mail address is what you use for log-in.
Question 4: If I log into the system using my "Mythic Master Account" (or whatever it's called) can I avoid creating a new EA account entirely?
No. When you log in with a Mythic Master Account, the system tries to point you at an EA Account/e-mail address that it thinks is already associated with your UO account. You can then either proceed with logging into the system with that EA Account name/e-mail address (use the lost password function if you have no idea of the password and still have access to the suggested e-mail address), or you can set up a new EA Account to link to your UO account. If you do the latter, you have to enter an e-mail address, a password, your date of birth, a country, decide if you want to subscribe to a newsletter or be included in marketing/promo/3rd party offers, and indicate you've read and accepted EA's ToS and Privacy Policy.
