Ok so the guild im in set some traps the other day around the city we had captured. All was well and it was fun, but the next morning when i log in i had 20 silver in my pack that wasn't there the night before when i loged out. And then later when i got on the was even more silve in my pack that again wasn't there when i loged out...So here is the ? was this silver obtained from someone stepping on the traps that I had placed, and if that is the case if you place trappes and are logged in with that char at the time someone dies from a trap you placed you would get the kill point for that as well... Sorry if this was covered some where else in this forum i looked and could not find it anywhere...Any help would be smiled at
I have only actually placed traps myself a few times, so I don't have a lot of experience with the rules regarding getting silver from using them. (Have sure made a lot of them and removed a lot too, though!) So here goes with my fuzzy understanding:
Assuming that the tithing rate for your faction is set at 0% (i.e., 100% of silver earned goes to the character), I believe the character that placed a trap gets 20 silver if the trap injures an enemy faction character or 40 silver if the trap actually kills a character. I think that the game maintains a list of the characters injured or killed by the traps your character has placed and you don't get silver again from injuring/killing a specific character until
x number of other characters have been injured/killed by a trap your character set. I don't know what the value of
x is.
I'm also about 99% certain that the placer of a trap does NOT get kill points if the trap kills an enemy character. At least that's the way it used to work. There have been a few hints/comments made in the last month or so that something may have changed though, so I could very well be wrong on this point.
Perhaps someone else who has lots more experience with placing traps in the past few months can chime in here.
