You're better off running with a melee build. First off.. being an archer while running towards and away from your pet to get off a single heal during a boss battle is not a wise idea. Second of all, Bushido and Archery, as good as it sounds, are not very compatible.. A melee skill might be a better choice because you will receive more options from that skill. A melee skill will also allow you to stand next to your pet, simply because you have veterinary. Of course you can have your best friend magery, but that won't make up for the amount of damage the boss will be doing to your pet, simply by replacing veterinary. Since you'll have chivalry, magery won't be needed... A modified template would look like this:
**(HASN'T BEEN TESTED)
120 Swordsmanship (20+ Swords from Captain John's Hat)
120 Bushido
120 Parry
90 Tactics
110 Taming (+26 From jewels)
110 Lore (+26 from jewels)
100 Vet (+26 from jewels)
74 Chivalry (+26 from jewels)
This template will lose the need for LRC and will allow you to focus more on LMC, MI, and MR. DCI and FC/FCR is something you want to try to incorporate into your suit. HCI will not be needed because the lightning strike from BUSHIDO allows you 45% HCI instantaneously whenever you trigger that spell. This template is only if you are interested in fighting side by side with your pet. 1 handed weapons are highly recommended for chugging. I'm not sure about spellcasters, but I don't think they'll be a problem with confusion and invisibility potions.
Simply put:
3 ways to heal - Bushido (Evasion/Confidence), Chivalry (Close Wounds/ Cleanse by fire), and Potions (If you intend on carrying them, unless your wielding a two-handed weapon)
120 Parry/Bushido (Combined parry chance of 35% w/ 1 handed wep, 40% w/ 2 handed wep)
Chivalry/Bushido (Combined firepower for stronger attacks)
HCI? - no worries! (Lightning strike - when triggered, gives an instant 45% HCI)
