Hi all,After a few years I've decided to log back on(left when they took out IDOC's)
The house that was in front of mine is gone
I would like to replace mine with a bigger one.
Where do I go to find the latest bugs/rules?
I have lots of precious items I dont care to lose to some dumb bug/rule!
Thanks
Yorgoff

They took out IDOC's? *shrugs*

As to your housing question, which shard would be helpful. Bugs, well there isn't an official listing that I'm aware of but asking is always best. Not sure when you last played since As long as I've played there have been idoc's in one sense or fashion.

Welcome back though and good luck in your travels.

Please
Lets not argue over the meaning of IDOC
I have faithfully paid my fee's for the past 10 years, never missed a month
All I ask is for some help
not an arguement
Thanks in advance

Yeah, they still need to:
Update uo.com

So, get a house placement tool:
http://guide.uo.com/house_4.html

The best way (even though it will be a pain for you) is to 'resize your house'.
Take all of the items out of your house.
Put them in banks or on your characters (load up characters and log out in your house where your new one will be). You can put items on packhorses too if you need to, but be sure they are well-fed and in a safe area and you check on them often and keep them well-fed.
To resize your house, read the top part of this:
http://update.uo.com/design_592.html

I tried to locate it in the housing section of the UO.com playguide, but either missed it or it isn't there yet. Yeah, they really should try to:
Update uo.com
Especially before Stygian Abyss and potentially new/&old players arrive.

x: thought of something else: make sure you have enough gold for what you are trying to place, before you try to resize.

Thank You!
I had 7 accounts at one time,so my characters and bank on this last account are pretty full
I"ll read the updates and take my chances
One quick question,Can you just demolish a house and replace immediately(sp) anymore"?
Thanks in advance

- 'Resizing' your house is basically like demolishing it, except you get the added bonus of being able to keep your original spot for an hour (I think that's how long / it's in that second link).. so you will not lose your spot.

x: Oh, as long as your house sign tells you the house is 'properly placed'... if it is not properly placed then you will not be able to re-place a house of the same size (likely smaller, or longer, or wider... see, when other people place houses next to yours, it will sometimes make it change to ~improperly placed).

I'm gonna try the re-size ,but I need to move my new house up about 5 steps and over 2,to be able to accomadate the larger home.
I think I'll re-activate one of my old accounts, just in case I run into complications.I feel it'll be $13 bucks well spent
Thanks again

Depends on what shard you play on, but I wouldnt worry about losing your spot. Most shards are fairly low pop even at peak times. I've found 4 18x18's plots in my Malas neighborhood in the last month, on Great Lakes.

- Aye, Sarsmi is right about that ;)

& it wasn't EA/UO's fault either; iirc it started ~ September 2001.
