My name is Goose (my most often used Character's name is MrBlue) I'm moving from Napa Valley after 12 or so years... I've played of and on since around 2000-2001, with 2 full vet accounts, and I desperately need a little help picking a shard to move to and a guild to play with. The Shards I'm looking at are Great Lakes, Chesapeake, and Catskills... My first problem before I move to a new shard is finding how populated and active the shards are, If there is a guild out there willing to help with the move and lastly how hard it is to place a house in one of them... All I want is a shard with plenty of other active players but not so populated that placing a good house is as bad as it was before OSI created trammel... Basically as soon I can find a shard that is fairly active That i can place a house in with a guild or group that I can play with, I'll be ready to move... I would like to have someone who knows the shard to show me the ropes a little and have a group of fairly mature persons to play with. I mainly play PvM nowadays so I need a guild that focuses on that... I am truly desperate and any responses or answers/ideas would be much appreciated, I truly miss playing this game on a shard that isn't a bloody ghost town...

Check out K^S guild on Cats. I recently returned to UO and they have been a big help to me and are fairly active.

Agreed. Catskills is a great shard. I am only on for short bits at a time, but when I am I see quite a bit of activity in the General Chat. Quite often you will see messages to get groups together for PvM. And depending on what size of plot you are looking for, you will be able to find a spot to call home.

Chesapeake is an excellent shard, too. There are some very helpful guilds here that welcome new members, and there is ample room for housing.

I believe that Chessy is more populated then Cats but Cats is a nice shard. I am currently playing Chessy and there are plenty of guilds to choose from. There are plenty of people on but you can still do plenty of things without fighting with people over spawn and what not. The majority of players are mature as well as the guilds. There are a few guilds that come to mind. MUCK - RP Goblins (very fun) RBG, DWxC, FlSH, COLT, EVI, UFO, SHE to name a few and then a couple larger alliances is Paxlair Community and Chessy Community. We would love to have on Chessy. PM me or ICQ me if you would like to create a character and come for a visit. ICQ 126-630-075
