Need Advice on Gaining Stats

It's been years since I've taken a new character and leveled their stats. The last time I did it I think there was a cap of 10 stats per day.

I have my crafter who needs to gain a ton of stats and I just made a guy who's going to be learning Mysticism. So, I need to gain stats fast.

Any ideas?

Also, when is the downtime for UO pacific. The link on the uo.com website is totally broken.

There is no limit on the regular shards on stat gains. You have a chance of gaining each time you gain skill and each skill has a primary and secondary stat associated with it. There is a list floating around somewhere showing which skill raises which stats. Once you hit GM and still have the skills to raise you will gain in the associated stats much faster.

Sounds like I need to do mining or a fighting skill just to gain strength.

If you have soulstones just raise meditation and focus and dump and erase the skills on the stone every time they get to 40 or so. Best way i've found, hope it helps.

Yup. I have about 200 soulstone fragments plus about 30 full soulstones.

like Kellgory said, once you have a skill set at 100, keep the arrow up (as long as it doesn't screw up your cap total if you gain more) and you will gain stats every time the skill makes a check, as opposed to a chance for a stat gain while gaining up to 40-50 in a skill.
