I like those new surnames, "........ of cityname."

Adding the city surname could be a reward from a game event like a quest, or a holiday reward, or a cleanup turnin. No balance issues and worth a bit of effort IMO.

Well that's all well and good for you all..... but having been gifted a Title from the EM's/Mesanna.... I'm not really able to change my title without losing the gift.... something I'd rather not do.


Malag-aste The Assistant Royal Spymaster..... is just WAY too cool to ever risk losing. Though I would like to have a few Characters with names like "Edgar Long of NewCastle Township".... that would be cool too.

I didn't say that no one else could enjoy being able to title their characters to a specific "town" .... I'm sure some of my characters would LOVE that...

Sadly my main could not...

Would be neat if something like this was available... though some of my characters already do it.... "Trilla of Yew".... named that way at conception... But I like the idea.... would be good if it could include Player run town names as well..... such as Newcastle Township... and such.

it would be cool if "of [town]" titles were earned as a result of contributing to the town in question in some way, like banking or something. Like if you open your bank box the most in vesper, or use the vesper npc vendors the most or something like that, then you can get the suffix "of Vesper". Might be a way to bring the cities back a little

That's actually pretty cool.

How about a suffix like "of the West Britain Bank Rooftop" as well?

I do like the town names over shard names though.
