Re: Does this constitute harrassment?

I was reported for harassment for taking items off the floor in the Brit Inn. People would try to swap items between characters in the Inn...I would stealth around and pick up those items.

It was more profitable than turning the couch cushions over looking for spare change, lol...la

trammie is full of morons and griefers hiding behind the ruleset. just go to fel, you get double fame/karma, and there are better options than ogre lords. and if someone starts popping off, you can pull a Green Ranger on them or call in friends.

Re: Does this constitute harrassment?

I would suggest that you consider trying the Arctic Ogre Lord by the water in Fel. Ice is a seldom visited dungeon in fel, being not a champ spawn location and fame is double so you'll achieve your objective more quickly. It's also not very far from the entrance, considering you'd have to run in and out.
Well, it is a champ spawn location, but the path to the spawn area stays as far east as the dungeon goes, and no one who is checking spawns goes west of that really.

*looks at your avatar*

Don't you have KP duty or some toilets to scrub? Want a troll-duel? I'm game.

I have been reading a lot of your posts and you seem to be just as bad as the tamer. Refusing to share. Go farm you monsters other places. There are two facets almost identical and you also have Malas, Tokuno, Ilsh, and Ter Mur.

BTW...If you are just going for fame, go to fel. You get double the fame!! LOL!!! There are alot of spots that never get visited and if you get PKed...just re-equip and come back later on. Most PKs will still around for a few minutes and then leave. We get bored fast!

If UO somehow sticks around for another five years, there are still going to be intensely bitter people complaining about "trammies"

In fairness, it was actually a "trammie" complaining about another "trammie" that was the OP in this thread. Just FYI.

In my experience, killing someone in Fel that is intent on grief rarely stops the griefing. If anything, it tends to intensify it.

And this is about Trammel anyways. There is really only one solution to this kind of rudeness in Trammel. I hesitate to call it griefing because it is just inconvenience, but that is to move on to somewhere else or come back later.

Re: Does this constitute harrassment?

The real reason to go kill the monsters on the Fel side is because it is far more likely that area will be deserted.

I know, but it doesn't change the fact that people will still be using that terminology five years from now if UO is still around.

This is unfortunately the truth far too often :(

Just play when the kids are in school, problem solved. I know exactly the type of person you are referring to, as I ran across one recently, but they've always been around. They really take it hard when your pixels beat their pixels, and I don' t know why. They probably play TF2 or COD, where the lifespan is usually less than a few minutes, so why they should get upset in UO is beyond me. It really is weird. They lose about as much as they lose when they play TF2, which is to say not much (unless you're an engie and you lose your sentry, etc. which can be a pain).

Actually dying in TF2 as an engineer after you've just set everything up is a lot more annoying than dying in UO, since you've lost quite a bit of time and it can set your team back if you had a good teleport setup.

Re: Does this constitute harrassment?

Well we have different stand point. You and most trammies thinks "losing" to other players is being griefed.

You know its like you take SAT and score 1400 while your best friend score 1500 (while only spending half your study time to prepare) and takes your spot to your college of dream and you accuse him of griefing you by "stealing" your spot.
Actually, it's more like someone ran up and went "Okay I've decided we're not competing academically anymore, now we're having a boxing match!" and started punching you at your desk while you were trying to do your SAT. Then when you decided he was a psycho and moved to a different room, he made some smug comment about how you just couldn't stand losing.

Now you're in the safe room, but some jerk keeps stealing your eraser. Not the end of the world, but annoying. And there's that psycho again, telling you how in his room no one can steal your eraser... as long as you're a really good boxer and can brutally beat the hell out of anyone who tries to take it.

No one is ever coming back to Fel. The entire original landmass of UO is going to stay nothing but the same handful of guys fighting over Yew Gate and champs.

I'd say it's true about 50% of the time depending on the type of griefing going on. If it's simple kill stealing then they might stop and leave. However, the griefers usually expect to be attacked in fel. So if they are really pressing on it one should expect trouble. Either in the form of endless griefing or some actual pvp.

Re: Does this constitute harrassment?

Lol. UO has become nothing less that it was in the beginning in this regard. The problem the OP is complaining about isn't new. There were those people from day 1. It's not the game that allows that it's the people and they will always be the same. Dbag tamer. Imagine that.
If someone had done this pre-Tram, the "dbag" tamer (which...isn't this a "personal attack"? Seems like less than a week ago I got an infraction for calling someone this), or whomever, would have just KILLED the offending player, and life would have gone on. No whinning necessary.

Imagine that.
While you might think the world revolved around you Morg, it doesn't. The dbag tamer is not directed at you. I didn't know that tamer = Morgana just so you know. Tamers were one of the most hated classes pre AoS and back in the so called hey day of UO. Thanks all the same for trying to make a remark into a seeming attack though. You are not worth a personal attack.

As for the response, again you are totally wrong. You wouldn't just kill someone offending you else you would gain a murder count. Then the person would come back and do it again. How many time would you take a count because of some un-nice person using the animal taming ability decided to intrude upon the area you were hunting in? Don't make it sound like less than it was. There were so many ways to grief pre or post tram it's not a contest. It was just as easy back then and the entire point(that you missed completely) or my original post.

Hmm, seems the OP wiped this thread clean of all their content. Aside from what was already quoted by others that is.
