Mystic Warrior?

I picked up UO again after a veeeeery long break and I'm interested in making a gargoyle warrior who uses mysticism. Is this idea viable? If so would anyone mind giving me some pointers in terms of skills and stats? Keep in mind that I'm using a brand spanking new account so I won't have any of the nifty stuff you get from having an old account.

Thanks! That does give me some good ideas to work from. It must be a pretty good build too if it's capable of taking on a nasty peerless boss solo.
