Looking for a basic Mystic template for my gargoyle imbuer.

Not Focus instead of Imbuing for the bonus to Mysticism and the extra mana/stam regen? Is Imbuing a more powerful addition than Focus with regards to spell damage etc?

I saw most of the spells listed either focus/imbuing for determining effectiveness. Is focus an important stat for myst ?? I can always shard the imbuing and swap in focus. I had thought from my brief research imbuing was interchangeable with focus and since this toon already had imbuing that was fine. If there is a big enough advantage I can swap em out.

As long as you have one or the other you will be fine. The question is which skill will you benefit more from. Imbuing is great if you are in to crafting, but you are purely a fighting character I would go with focus for the regen.

I am very much into crafting. i plan on taking this toon to 120 imbuing (already ate the scroll). I guess if I have enough soul stones to hold this skill I can swap imbuing off when not crafting.
