After searching stratics forums I'm still unclear of:

If a mystic mage template has magery in it why isn't there no meditation skill involved?

I'm in the process of making this for my T-hunter as the monsters are getting to strong for the EE's & was going for the collossus.

I realize I can make up the med on the suit but I am just curious why no med with the magery.

He can have it but focus provides a damage bonus to mystic spells and also helps regen mana.

Focus is the "eval" of mysticism. 120 focus OR imbuing will be needed for a mystic mage to have any power behind their spells. Focus makes more sense for a non crafter character because it provides 6 mana regen vs 0 w/ imbue. For this reason people often choose to add a little more power or defense to their template vs mana return. The most common temp would have 100 scribe and 40 med because this adds extra damage while still keeping decent mana flow. I run 80 med and 60 spellweaving on mine, i know a few tricks for getting a focus and I really really like spellweaving defensive buffs not to mention arcane empowerment RCs. I am also a mana hog so I typically run higher med templates because I am always out of mana.

I have a Mystic/Mage that has Meditation.

My Template is:
120 Magery
120 Eval
120 Med
120 Resist
120 Mysticism
120 Imbuing

Another Mystic/Mage I know has both Med and Focus inlue of Imbuing.
