My armslore won't go up, i'm not even near 100 yet, i've got skills set to go down and armslore is set to go up, i've tried crafting some weapons and also using the armslore skill over and over on some weapons, it just won't go up.

You may end up having to rely on the GGS to get those last few points.

How long has it been since your last gain?

Sometimes, walls just happen...
Perservere.

Maybe try crossing a server line.
Die.
Use a different target.

how many skill points total are on your character. A new player has a total of 700 for the character, if you add up all your points including the one pointed down and you are near the 700 point total your gains on all skills will slow down.

I've got a character that has had parry stuck at 109.6 for over 2 years. I have room for it to go up but it won't. One of the G's in GGS is not working.

In order to get a gain (even the guaranteed one), you still need a chance to "fail" (although for parry, I'm not quite sure how that's defined - but try wielding a weapon you have no skill in and see if you get a gain).

As for arms lore - make sure you have room to gain (or have some other skill turned down) and try crafting a few of something that you have a chance of failing with.

Go to the smithing forum and at the top of the page there is a "GMing arms lore" link. Follow the instructions and you'll be very very happy.

There is a great method that would have you at 120 in an hour or less described fully in the warrior forum. I went from GM to 120 in 3 hours with it.

Bah and pah to all these shortcuts! Play! Have fun! Revel in the journey, not the destination!

Try crafting armor (especially platemail - gorgets are cheap) instead of the weapons.

Ive GM'd lore on 3 characters. I have chests of old armor and weapons. I just set a uoassist macro to lore them(yes this takes a long time) but after it was set it was simple. I just hit the key again when its done with all the items.
