My issue... Your Weight! Its time to get naked.

Hello All,

Recently on my shard (Siege P.) I had a issue involving weight that I want to bring to everyones attention.

I was out farming dragons and everything was going fine, and as usual I get overloaded. So I send my gold via a sending bag to the bank. I did something in a wierd order (I cannot for the life of me remember what I did and don't wanna try again) but the gold went anyway and so I continued on. Im dropping the gold and items on my main paperdoll backpack like I have since I started the game. So about 20 Greater dragons later I'm thinking its time for a send and I check in my pack and no gold. Im like huh??? I check the game status screen and it shows me about overweight but NO gold total next to the little gold stack. So I run off and get a hide, log in and out, and again the weights there but no gold total. Search everything in my pack and no gold pile. I run home and strip absolutely naked and my weights at 199 stones. At this point I do everything that anyones gonna suggest...

Switch servers, died, relogged, have a thief snoop my pack and see if he see's anything different (nope), try to have someone random steal from my pack (player has nothing to steal), buy something and hope the gold is noticed (nope), drop another pile on my naked self and take a whole pile off (nope, showed and totaled THAT pile only), ect.

So I paged a GM and about 4 hours later a GM Thowe takes (what I assume) is everything hidden off me. I saw a gold pile and a few gems drop to the floor and were instantly deleted. He asked me if everything was ok, I said yes and TY and poof he was gone.

So I log in today and my weights not what it should be. So I asked around and different people had different weights. Top it all off with the fact that I have been 40 or so stones OVERWEIGHT forever and didn't know it till today.

With all that in mind I want to ask you 4 simple questions and hope that the overall information helps anyone thats losing out on more loot simply because your over weight and didn't know it. Keep in mind that SOMEWHERE in our toons storage program is a place to put stuff that adds weight THAT YOU HAVE NO KNOWLEDGE OF.

1) Race of Character?
2) Sex of Character?
3) Strength of Character?
4) Weight absolutely naked (nothing in pack or paperdoll) of Character.

4/Weight) 15 Stones

Maybe a programmer popping his head in and filling us in on what exactly holds and stores this unaccessable info. How we can check if stuff is hidden in there and shouldn't be?

ALL Female, it looks as though males have 1 extra stones weight regardless of weight from what I'm seeing here.

I had a similar experience. I was farming arrows and gold at the weald champ spawn sent some gold then I notice my weight going up but no items showing in my bags. So I paged. The Gm who responded took me to -jail, well a strange room not bucs den. They asked me my pet names and since i am a tamer I had a few.... 12... So weird... then after a while going through pets and checking my inventory he said all done! Must have been a thorough job to have done all that. Took em (not including page time) about 45 mins!

And naked no items in pack = 0 stones for all characters. Any other outcome means your still bugged.

Most of my toons leave the house at around 35-85 stones but my healers,vets and archers typically go out much higher. Especially if Im carrying pots.

Guardian, based on the info Larisa posted, it looks like two of the characters I've checked so far have buggy weights. Check the screen shots of these characters naked below just to see if maybe I've overlooked some clothing. Don't see any earrings or shoes (the two things I find easy to overlook) or anything else, and yet these two characters' weight seems to be too high by one stone. Neither one has ever been male or changed their race.

Also, when I went back to double check on the gargoyle who had a naked weight of 15 stones, I discovered that she was still wearing wing armor. With that removed, her weight dropped to 13 stones. I used the insurance menu to try to help confirm I didn't miss anything else on her and the elf on GL. (Not an option for the Seige character.)

Edited to add: Here's a screen shot of a naked female gargoyle on Sonoma. Used the insurance menu to double-confirm she wasn't wearing anything. Her weight is 14 stones. She used to be human. The lighter-weight garg on Baja is younger and has always been a gargoyle though.

I checked two male elf characters and when naked they both had a weight of 15 stones. Don't have any human or gargoyle male characters to check.

Ok everyone. Seems theres LOTS of bugged weight issues.

UO stratics sight confirms that EVERYONE should weight 14 stones. UO Stratics *New* | Character Weight is where I got my information on everyone being 14 stones. No new information was given reguarding gargoyals weight. Information was posted by other players and not "official" devs/programmers.

Ever wonder what happened to those blessed night sight earrings? Did you once lose a bracelet of the magi and swore you never took it off yourself? Did you ever wonder what happened to that noob cloak or shoes 4 years ago? How many times have you armed a bow for no reason what so ever but noticed it would maybe fire a shot or two? Is there something hidden in that unseen section thats allowing you more hit points, or less hit points. Did you ever go to doom, swore you saw something about getting an arti but you could NEVER find it.

I believe this is a issue that could become a big problem.

Either Devs/programmers need to give us some insight or everyone thats not at 14 stones needs to page a GM to come check/remove this stuff from peoples templates.

I was at 199 stones and finally noticed. Everytime you go farming and cut yourself short a few stones it means less for you. After repeated trips all those meager stones add up.

Weight issues are nothing, i know of chars with 70 all resists when naked. And chars with 40 LMC when naked.

Then logically, you know my motivation for saying it ; knowing I might get a snap on the fingers, from someone who usually ignores me.

I can always feel this tension, and all its destructive attributes, its obnoxious reach into the subconscious community...

but I always take a few steps back and think :
