My IDOC virginity has been taken...

So I am wandering around Tram Ice Island on Catskills raising taming, and I come across to a bunch of chests, arties, etc. on the ground. It appears a house came down with no one watching it! So, my partner and I pack up every little bit of loot. Now, I have played UO off and on for many years, and just started fresh a couple months ago, so this was a great find for me. In the end, I found about 4 mil gold, a bunch of arties, cursed items, resources, and odds and ends. I can't wait to go through it all one by one.

It's awesome when it happens, and the worst part is you'll want it to happen again. Don't be surprised to find yourself scouting next week for fallers. =)

Plus whats also nice about idocs is being able to find, and place bigger plots. I moved alot til I finally got areas I knew I could get a castle in. Then I would sell or give away the old houses.

Yea I did the same, I left for a few years, came back with new accounts. Knew enough to get a mid sized house up in about 3 days, but.. after that I set about looking for IDOCs. It was a good way to familiarize myself with Trammel once again and gave me an excuse to wander Malas and Tokuno. Like you I kept upgrading house plots except I stopped with a Keep, found it and chose to watch it over a castle that was falling and luckly I did, only one other person was there and when it fell...he must have been typing to his guild mates, I placed and started looting before he even moved.
