i've been away for a year and was wondering how my template would hold up against the pvp templates today. it's hard to find out what the main ones are because it seems alot of my old networks of people have disbanded.

haven't logged in for around a year so i can't remember all the fine tunings.

ok so... here goes...

nox dexxer

120 bush
120 fencing (never did find a good enough cleaver)
120 tactics
GM parry
90 anat
90 heal
80 poison

150 HP
140 dex
can't remember mana or str/stam (i think 180 stam?). just got str up enough for 150 HP.

suit was basically 70/65+/65+/65+/65+ artis and custom armor
30lmc, 8mr max HP increase
45%HCI/35%DCI or vice versa (totem/glasses)
carried a mace, harvey, kryss, bokuto, fork and sometimes a 15hci lance.

carried everything from boxes to pots to petals to 20-30+ LP pots.

if you pvp you pretty much understand how i used the temp.

i guess basically what i'm asking is do these guys handle good against a top "whammy" or "sampire" dexxer or is most of the mumbo jumbo floating around stratics about good templates just trammy talk?

most mages aren't an issue, nor are cure pots when i'm running around with 30 poison pots.

Yup, pretty much the same for PvP.

Sampies and wammys are mainly used for PvM. You don't often see them in PvP.

I think you'll survive decent enough, and if you run into a mage without pots you'll probably handle them pretty easily. Any mage with pots you'll probably never kill 1 v 1.

You lack burst damage needed to kill a dexer, so those will probably be endless fights that drag on until both are redlined and go for kill shot

the burst damage will be crits and concs from the mace. even if they have pots - it's not an issue because i can generally poison my weapon several more times then they have cures. i've seen people use 5GC pots to get off a dose of lethal. i've never had severe problems with any dexxer, archer or mage. it's just the necro macer/mages that get under my skin.

the input was appriciated, thank you.

and might i point out that i chuckled about the "survive decent enough" comment. evasion/parry/pots/petals/boxes/high resist. i'm a demon on the dexxer.

You obviously think you are all that and a bag of chips, why even ask for anyones input?

BTW, a crit is not reliable burst damage.

High resist? If you mean suit that should be the minimum expected. Magic resist though...you have none.

Lethals DO have that type of range. However, it is NOT reliable.

Bushido on criticals is not reliable. You can have a RNG of 3 criticals in a row and then miss 5 times in a row. The main brunt of the point is that you will end up with 20% critical chance.

No 120 parry will give you trouble against others packing 120 weapon, coupled with 120 parry. That is just simple math. You can argue HCI and DCI, but weapon and defense chance with parry are ALWAYS the first part in the calculation.

If poisoning is fixed, you have yourself an okay template. As it stands now...depends.

I would not simply rely on criticals, poisoning and evasion.

Evasion is capped now. Once every 20 seconds.

This is my opinion only, but I would drop the bush on your temp for 120 resist and go to 120 parry. With the nerf on evasion, and the newish faction pots available, a 1 handed weapon will be your best friend. You may even consider dropping parry for something like ninjit(ki strike), lethal poison from a distance, and animal form for when you get dismounted. This however is a competely different temp than what you are running now. I gm'ed nox awhile back and unfortunatly the best place I could find for it was a soulstone in my house :(. I am not sure which shard you play but on my shard it is group fighting(even if you aren't in a group). So the idea of running people out of cure pots is unimaginable to me. I ran parry with a shield for awhile, but the faction pots coupled with 30 ep on jewels was enough to convince me that rearming shield was wasting my time. Just my opinion. If it's a temp you were succesful at before nothing should change now. Good luck.
