My Castle- *UPDATE IN FIRST POST*

UPDATE!
We have a lot of offers and need some time to consider all of our options. If you don't hear from us today, or even tomorrow, please be patient. We don't want to rush into a decision. Thanks for the support!

Here are most of the items that Enigma and I collected during our times on siege and have been hoarding in the castle (the castle is stuffed to capacity):

During a conversation at dinner we finally accepted the fact that we will never return to Siege and it is foolish to keep paying for the castle. The time has finally come to let go of the pixel crack. We don't want to let it go IDOC bc it's not a very nice neighborhood and the natives are a bit cranky.

We are thinking of getting rid of it all in one lot. There will not be an auction- we can't be bothered with that. We would prefer to simply hand the castle and all its contents over to one player. If you are interested, please PM me. Don't bother with ICQ, I uninstalled it from my laptop awhile ago.

I own a Keep and have never owned a Castle. I'll make a go for it and definately put everything back into the hands of the community. My view has always been that I want one of every item and everyone else can have the rest.

I'm not even sure what to say after looking at those pictures. I think, though, I'd have a hard time walking away from all of it. Props for collecting it all and I guess giving it away. Landing that would be akin to having a $300,000,000 Powerball winner.

It is hard to walk away from. That stuff represents about 6 years of work on Siege. That is why we have been paying for an account to keep it open for over a year (I think it has been that long). But we realized that we have moved on from UO. We are not returning. Rather than letting this stuff collect dust in our castle (and throwing away $12 a month, or whatever it is) we would rather see it back out in the community. As you can see, there is something for EVERYONE- the PK, the hunter, the crafter, the decorator. That's not even all of it- there is more stuff packed away on at least 4 characters and their bankboxes.

I am not going to make a decision until Enigma gets home tonight. I am not sure if he was ready for me to post this, but I did bc I figured if I waited any longer it would never get done!

It is the Glacial Dye. Seen the same in one of the Gilfane homes.

Based on the general chat in the game over this thread, whoever going to get it has there own motives. Mine was community based...

Now that hurts Guardian.

I personally would like to use the keep to fund the following foundations:

*turns on patriotic background music*

The Kitty Puppy foundation of Gilfane. - We would outfit all kittens and puppys with the best armor to make sure they would have a fair chance as should all players on siege.

The Tourette Foundation - Guardian we would be honored to make you the mascott for this cause. %$#%^!

The Kelmo Foundation - This foundation doesnt actually do anything. we just sit in general chat and ask "Where is Kelmo?" every so often.

The Wee Willie Foundation - This foundation is to make sure Women across Siege have the freedon to be all they can be.

The Foundation for Developement of Sosaria - Again we dont really do anything. just sit in general chat and complain about why things arnt what they used to be and why people arnt paying attention to us. There is no positive input allowed.

The Foundation for the Criminally good looking - So far I'm the only one who qualifies to be in this foundation.

The Foundation of Bagpipers - This foundation has been succesfully removing all guitar solos from popular songs and replacing then with bagpipe solos. You have not lived until you have heard "Sweet Child of Mine" bagpipped.

The Czarina Foundation - this Foundation is for sale at the Mongbat Ranch in Magincia.


If we win access to Pattys castle we will be taking a picture of me holding each and every item and selling those pictures. The profitt from the pictures will go to fund the above Foundations.

I was in your boat about a year ago. I was deployed to Afghanistan and decided I would never return to Sosaria. I had a little game where I gave everything away to people who would show up at my house. Finally I sold my Abyss house to Kelmo (for a nice sum I might add...lol,) gave my Luna house to Czarina and gave my castle and all its contents (around 7 years worth as well) to Shalimar of NEW. It was fun and a weight off my shoulders.

Definitely pick someone reputable. Lots of newer players around here.. not sure who to trust. My picks would be Shalimar (if she's still around,) Kelmo or Tazar. Those are about the only people I would trust on Siege now... I guess Sprago is a good candidate as well. We were always enemies on the field but I never heard of any ****** moves from him.

Sir Vincent from the old EB2 guild would like to throw his hat in the ring as well. Gave up on prodo shards acouple of years ago. If i was to obtain the castle you could be sure that the items would be released to the community as well as NEW.Hell, id probally give most ofthe rescources away just so people would keep vendors stocked so when new folks join us they would have access to good,cheap gear and be able to restock as often as needed. On that note,sad to see you guys make that decision to walk away after so many years here with us.

j/k you couldnt get me back to this god awful game in a million years. No offense to the honestly wonderful people who play it.....just the game blows.

But then again if BODS are still worth something maybe I get all the old ghost accounts collecting 1 an hour round the clock again.

Hi ya E! I understand where you are coming from and ever one gets to have an opinion. *smiles* Yu two will always be welcome here as part of the community... just keep the UO bashing to a minimum. I am dropping down to two maybe one account myself. I do not envy you the task you set yer selves up for... I will watch with some interest to see what you two decide.

I know I don't say much on this thread but I would guarentee all your stuff would find good homes. While a bit of a smartass on occasion I have never ever sold anything to anyone when it could be given away. I admit to wanting some of the items for myself but I could safetly say over 75% would find a new home.

I definitely agree with Freelsy......The castle with all items is way to much for one person. Pick one of the 4 players Freelsy identified, these are definitely players who would share items without trying to make a profit.
