Granted it was friday night at 6:40 PM EST which would make it 3:40 PM PST I elected to call EA customer service on account of the fact that I was charged $13.77 (MI tax included) for an account I had recently opted to cancel. I made sure to cancel before the preauthorization came through to avoid any problems. Still EA went ahead and charged me so I did something I had not done in years.............. called customer service.
I used the number listed on uo.com (uoherald.com/support/contact_info.php)(1-866-543-5435). The opening menu had 2 options. I chose the 2nd option (to speak to a customer service representitive, press 2). After hearing a list of games in the 2nd menu, I finally heard my option, option 7 (For all other games, please push 7). I get the message 'All of our agents are assisting other customers. The longest caller in que, has waited longer than 20 minutes, please continue to hold for the next available agent."
So here I am, 35 minutes later, and yes my call duration has been 35 minutes and counting. I have had time to write this thread and talk to people in ventrillo. Why do I have to wait over 35 minutes to get a billing issue resolved?
Would it be easier to just close more accounts? I have 4 more I can close and every painful minute that gets added on my cellphone makes me further want to close them. Why should I care about their business if they don;t care about mine? We have just crossed 37 minutes.
Did I do something wrong? Is it a bad time? What does it matter if the customer service team is in India? is not that where it was before? If we are going by EA time, it was still 3:30 PM in California time when I called.
They don't care about us anymore =<
