did you feed it? mine went wild when i was custumizing house a few days ago. i had to retame. maybe it was "wild" when you were riding it and disappeared when you logged?

Where did you have it last? I ask, because the other night I had mine out (was not riding it) and when I logged out from within my house to get on another account my char logged, but not my pet. I am lucky I was logging back in because if I would have stayed out of game for over 12 hours it would have likely gone "poof."

Some years ago one of my sons bought one of these exploit black horses, had it for only a few hours or so, logged out off mount and when he logged back in it was gone.

Back then someone said if you don't feed and or bond it, or if it was a freshly exploited one and you logged off while off mount, it would run back to it's original master, a faction guard. I can't recall the exact details now but bottom line was they'd poof if you logged off while off mount.

Hopefully he learned you get what you pay for.

:)

Just saw this and logged in to check mine. All safe and sound in the stables. Where did you leave it when you last logged out?

Soooooo, I placed a post here that was the first reply but has since disappeared...not sure who edited or deleted it, as I did not, but what I stated within the same was-

The other day I almost lost such a tamed pet...I came to realize that JUST before I logged out the pet was targeted or targeted a creature outside my house. When my tamer logged out, the pet did not go with. This was a house that I am the owner of. I caught it because I logged in on a different account and char to see that tamed animal keyed in on the outside creature. I lored it, and it was wonderfully happy, but I had to log out and back in on that original toon to 'log' my pet with me. For 'safety' I went outside and killed that creature too.

I was lucky I caught it because I figure some 12-24 hours later I could have been missing my fully trained pet. Hoping this post does not disappear to help others be careful.

I logged in and my black horse was gone... wtf?
A little more info on what you were doing at the time may help. I would like to add that if your stables are full and you cant stable anything else, all pets that get sent to be auto stabled buy the game end up at a stable closest to where you logged out, but the pets are left there unstabled and they don't appear on your list of controllable pets either

I logged out in luna while on my old faction guard horse. I logged back in and it was gone. Not really much more I can say about it.

Horses like to run around. I think bank sitting had somthing to do with it running away.

A guildie dismounted you and lured the pet off. Only reasonable explanation.

Possible someone got jealous and a GM removed it?

Or best thought were you logged out upstairs in the rooms where you insta log or just at the bank?

If it was at the Bank you don't insta log so it's "possible" that during the few min it takes for your char to "time out" your horse decided you are a bad master threw you off went wild and some lucky joe came along and tamed your horse or killed it.

I wish horses would do that to players "throw them off"

nope, to my shame my crafter's blue beetle has kicked her off in the past. If you never feed it, and never command it, it will slowly lose loyalty.

I'm pretty sure that is false.
I had a Guildmaster that was guilty of this all the time. My Tamer used to threaten him with a burning if he continued to abuse his pets so.... Yes I'm sorry but it's quite true. And if you didn't know then I'm going to assume this was what happened to your pet and someone quite likely happily sold your horse or kept it.

They do. Just run around don't feed your horse and you will get tossed off their backs.
no this is true ive had it happen more than several times over the past year. i feed my black horse about once a week, right before and right after leaving it unattended by an auctionhouse and it went wild recently. im sure you know that certain things lower loyalty as well, such as invising. i dont think this had anything to do with your horse as a couple invises wouldnt do it, but you never know. if it was really low on loyalty an invis or 2 might have pushed it over the edge to wild. its also happened on characters that ride regular horses but i dont care about them and if they go wild so i never feed them.

How can you invis a horse that a person is on?

It seems you are correct about it going wild while being on it. I have never seen it nor have I ever fed any of my mounts after bonding them yet that never happened to me until I guess just the other day with my black horse.
Strange.
