My 3 hours at the event. Dissapointed/confused.

Hail: I was there last night, and tonight. I had my blackrock.

It started 15 minutes late on LS. Then when it did start, i died in 2 minutes. I had teleported over the fence to attack a wisp. My bonded pet would not follow me as a ghost. It just stayed there.

A lot of the creatures were at the healer hut. Res, run, die. Repeat about 9 times. Finially i get resed, heal my self, and go to get my pet. Still, as a pet ghost, will not do anything. Got killed again. Repeat of paragraph one.

Go back to my pet, and res him, and hop on, and teleport back. Weeeee, Now I am in the Game. But no match for the killing power damage of greater dragons. Every kill says, "I did not earn the rights to loot this". Every one.........

Die a few more times. Get message once in a while that i have the strenth of 2 men. It had NO affect on magery or archery. Was able to loot corps. I made around 10k gold. All the armor/weapons, ect were of no use to me. And this is as a below average player.

2 hours later the complaining starts. Those that love EA vs those who do not. "This event is lame". "If you don't like it, leave". "You suck". "I have paged a GM on You". and on and on like this.

Then i get a message at the bottom of the screen to choose sides, and follow the black lords. WTF? Everyone was confused. I guess if you stayed to fight, you are good, and if you used the moongate to go back to normal moonglow you gave up on defeating evil?

This encited more complaining. I was still looking for the things that we were told would happen. Choose a side? How?.............Some loot would appear to be decoration, but would be more than that later on. Never saw, or had anyone get anything like that. All the cloaks, sheild, sword, are NOT deco, they are useable weapons.

9 pm pst, most of spawn was trapped inside the inn, or armor shop. They could still kill you, but you could not kill them. Died again as proof. hehe.Finially went thru gate to normal moonglow, and logged.

OK, what did i do wrong? What did having blackrock actually do? What are the, "Deco" items that were loot? Besides having a lot of players in one place, what was the point of this? If i wanted to die 15 times, i could have done it elsewhere. So, i must really suck.........., or am i partly correct?

The doors to all the spawn were bugged, drac has fixed them and there is tons of spawn there now on LS. Tho, it seems everything is dropping either the sword or the shield as I have well over the desired amount now. Not sure what else is going to happen and what happen to those being rewarded for showing up lastnight... im still pretty confused myself, but there is spawn there if you wanna give it another shot

I was on LS too,

the only things I saw were the planesword and planeshield (they spawned on the fallen warrior corpses), the stats really suck on them, can not see anyone using them except was deco. Unless there is some super secret use that EAMythic has yet to reveal.

there was also a cloak of corruption (suppose to drop in your backpack) , which you could get for killing ethereal shadowlords, again I saw one, did not get one.

then there are threads of fate, on dark wisps corpses, I only heard about these, again I did not get one, though I killed a few dark wisps

do not think there was anything special on the fetid essences corpses, but I am not entirely sure though.

things should have been clearer, but since it was exactly like this when it was run on test center, and when it was stress tested on production shards. It was about what I expected. overhyped, setup for the next part of the story in May.

It got a little boring after an hour of killing and dying. I'm going fishing in the morning, so i have to get to bed.

This event smells like a big opportunity to get large amounts of insurance money out of the game. I spent more time dieing and trying to collect stuff from my body than having any fun or collecting any objects de art. I hope this event will taper down to a level we can handle.

Both my characters are still in training...I wish there was some lower level spawn or area for those of us that are working skills. I'm a casual player at best, although I'd like to play more often, chronic pain keeps me away often times. It's a bummer to not get any looting rights although trying your best to fight with the skills you have. *shrugs* I expected to be pretty useless, though.

I'm still having a great time though. I'd like to find a group to party up with maybe. Possibly then I would have a chance to get at least one of the nice items. The threads intrigue me.

Totally agree with Gunner on this. I got a sword and a shield and got them home safely before I managed to assist others in going hoarse "An Corp." A greater dragon died right by the gate, managing to cover all the corpses for those who died within milliseconds of discovering the 1-2 dozen Berserker Daemons lured there. I kept trying to go back, but all I managed to do was die more. So, down a few items and aggravated as hell.

Try the virtue of honor or a boat. Either should get you on the island and in a relatively safe place.

I thought it was bad on a low pop shard... sounds like you guys are having a real rough time.

For what it's worth, I've found that I can solo the dark wisps as long as there's no additional monsters coming to ruin my fun, and all of my skills (Swords, Bushido, Tactics, etc) are just about 75. I'm wearing some artifact-level gear, though, since my Miner makes me very rich!

I still die to the Necromancy summons or Revenants they make sometimes, though. I have Hiding/Stealth on my template, so my corpse runs have been much easier than most people's, I'd imagine!

Still having a good time, and the story tidbits we did get are tantalizing enough to keep me interested.

Hail: The message was at the bottom left of the screen, and only there for a few seconds. When you are dissapointed, and have your head in your left hand, your eyes are pointed down to the bottom of the screen. I guess that is how i saw it.

If you were concentrating on fighting/running, you would not have seen it.
