HI all just returned to uo after 5 year break.

i am using the new client and when i use my horse it moves really bad like only half a screen then stops then another half screen and so on. if i walk it moves none stop no problem,
internet connection is no problem, any one any ideas thx.

Also can you have both clients installed at same time might try that as using mounts is just not possible.

Yes you can run both clients at once, or even multiple instances of either client, now (but only one classic client instance will work with UOAssist).

As for the horse running movement, it sounds like optimization issues. Go down to the UO Tech forum a few lines below this one on the UO Stratics menu and ask there, giving your system specs. They can probably get you running much better.

The new client needs better specs from your pc? not like the old windows 98

That's how lag works in the new client, so something is going on.

The usual suspects:

- Do you have file sharing turned on? Bit Torrent etc. can cause serious lag.
- Is someone on your network downloading movies? This can also cause serious lag.
- Have you rebooted your router recently? That might help if you haven't.
- Have you run a scan for spyware and viruses lately? If not, you should.

If you've done all those things it may just be an enhanced client issue. I have to restart the enhanced client every so often because it will start to lag. There is a huge patch coming to the enhanced client soon that will hopefully fix this.
