The pirates were in New Haven again tonight, and this time in greater numbers. They had laid a banner down on the ground and were claiming New Haven as their own.
Wild, (who was there to do some banking) was cornered by the Pirates and asked to pay 5000 gold pieces in order to be allowed to leave.
Having just payed 300 gold the day prior and being unable to afford the ransom, she narrowly escaped by throwing an explosive bottle of fake wine that she had initilly offered the pirates as a substitute to the ransom... which they immediately refused. During the surprise explosion, Wild ran as fast as she could and hid near the Warrior's Hall.
The Royal Guard must have not been on duty that night, or perhaps they were patrolling elsewhere.
